I'm getting them just to put on the shelf. I have a feeling of I needed one of the items, I'm more likely to spend the time finding it because I'm too lazy to walk to get the figure.
I have 14 GB free on my Wii U and I hear that Zelda takes up 13 GB on the Wii U...Do Wii U digital installs require way more space than the final install, or am I good there? I'd prefer to get it digitally for the one in a trillion chance Nintendo does some sort of cross buy thing down the road.

Either you misread or someone reported wrong, it takes up a 3 gig install. I'm not sure about the save size but I can't imagine it would be a 10 gig save!
EDIT: Oh I think I understand, I thought you meant for the physical version, which requires a 3 gig install. Not sure about that...that's cutting it pretty close.

3 GB install is for the disc version, I'm talking about the full on digital download.
The physical Wii U version seems to be back up on amazon. Just ordered it. It doesn't have an ETA but that appears to be fairly common for amazon pre-orders?
Kind of bummed there isn't a Wii U version that comes with the soundtrack. Hopefully it can be purchased independently.
No offense, but hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Nintendo has a terrible track record with actually releasing soundtracks outside of special editions or club rewards or Japan. I don't know why they hate money, or music, but they do.

It was just my RSS feed, not even visiting their site (which is garbage, I'd never go there). There are only so many places I can get game news via RSS (since everything else is blocked at work) that doesn't truncate 90% of the articles with a "click here to read the whole story!" (hey guys, I can't :P), so I keep them on there.
I've been listening to various video game music remixes. Jazz covers, violin duets, guitar interpretations, you name it. Here are a few Zelda related ones;
PA's plug of Mariachi Entertainment System got me on a major binge.
To get more hearts on the wolf Link amiibo and get a stronger wolf buddy in BotW, you need to open the menu in TPHD and scan the amiibo, which warps you to a special challenge dungeon that you have to play as wolf Link.
The first time you play it, it's 5 floors. The second time, it's 20 floors. The third time and every other time, it's 40 floors - you only have one shot at 5 and 20. And you can only save the current hearts remaining to your wolf Link amiibo as a high score when you get to the end of whichever version you're playing, so ideally if you want a good wolf Link you want to play it for the first time after you already have 20 hearts.
The easiest way to do it is to play the 5 floors, use a Zelda amiibo to top off your hearts instantly, and then save the full 20 hearts.
In a fit of boredom, I decided to get my wolf up to 20 hearts in anticipation. The hard way, through all 40 floors (but cheating with Zelda/Sheik).
That was easier than I thought. I remember some rooms being a right pain in the ass. Well, they still were, but I still managed the whole thing painlessly enough.
Hopefully they only care about the 20 hearts only. The thing does save stats like amiibo used, and there are apparently bonus hearts or something. My end result was 20 hearts +3... whatever that means. Probably just the "score" I guess.
"The sausage of Green Earth explodes with flavor like the cannon of culinary delight."
I'm not 100% sure it saves all that data to the amiibo. It might only save the number of hearts, and the rest of the data is part of the TPHD save associated with that specific amiibo ID.
I think 20 hearts +3 means you improved the number of hearts saved on the wolf Link by 3, meaning on one run you ended with 17 hearts. BTW you can also use the wolf Link amiibo to heal its number of hearts during the challenge too, making the 40 floor challenge even easier - you could have 2 major heals waiting, assuming you didn't use Zelda earlier the same day.

Ah, that's probably exactly it, because my previous amiibo save was 17 hearts. And that's basically what I did, got somewhere around floor 25-30 before needing to pop the wolf heal, and then thankfully never had to heal again until the final top up and tally. I basically had 3 full heals in the pocket and was anticipating a hard time, but managed it fairly easily.

Ha-hah! Got that one mission suggesting Zelda with the baton (to unlock level 2 baton) to get into A-rank, and that got me a lot closer to getting the level 3 baton.
I think with a level 3 baton I could do that "kill 1000 enemies in 10 minutes" that i need an a-rank in to get that one square (because fuck Impa in that "royalty quiz," her def is insane!).
Have to find some higher level weapons for Ganondorf to do the one where you have to kill Ganon.

It's funny just how much easier Legends makes some of the stuff in the original Hyrule Warriors. Lower enemy counts don't matter that much if you can simultaneously nuke everything that isn't on screen.
Thought occurred to me earlier regarding the elusive answers given about whether or not the Master Sword can break in BotW.
I think it can.
(Spoilered, but it's just a theory. I don't know for sure, and the only way I'm interested in finding out is for myself, thanks.)
I believe Aonuma said that in developing A Link Between Worlds, they took ideas for the then-unnamed Breath of the Wild. I'm willing to believe (but not willing to spoil myself to find out if I'm right) that Master Ore comes into play here.
I think it starts strong but breakable, and by finding Master Ore, you can temper it to further resist breakage, perhaps to the point of becoming unbreakable.
Like Mega Man Legends? Then check out my story, Legends of the Halcyon Era - An Adventure in the World of Mega Man Legends on TMMN and AO3!
Man I can't point out enough how different this game is from other open world games. Normally, you will mostly just follow mission pointers on the map, going through carefully gated areas, that only gradually open up as the story progresses. Zelda is all about going out yourself and finding your own adventure. Fuck their game design, I want to know what that thing is on the horizon. And it's not just that you CAN do that and it will work out, the game is expressively designed to support this and I think that is a kind of accomplishment that will make big waves.
It's sort of hilarious that of all games Zelda had to be the one to make this move. Zelda, which pretty much invented the slow tutorial-ridden introduction structure that is plagueing so many modern games. And now it's the one that boldly shows us how you can do without all that baggage.
Of course, there's one thing that someone could criticize about this: This is not the same kind of Zelda that you can hand to your girlfriend to play. This is a gamer's game, highly complex down to every detail. But in my opinion, they owed us this. There's plenty of gf-Zeldas out there already.

To be fair, Ocarina of Time was the first real game that introduced the "you see that stuff in the background? You can actually go there!" concept in general. So it's pretty logical the series would take it to the next level. (Though it took the series its sweet time)

Given that they are selling the Wolf Link amiibo alone, I'm sure you don't need Twilight Princess to use it.
