Yeah I wasn't really being serious, it would be a joint effort where I would play well and contribute. If I had two others to play with consistently I'm sure I could get there. It's just tough to get a serious group together.
I figured, just wanted to point it out because I have heard it (un
-ironically) here before.
I know this sounds crazy but... Use LFG. I have gone flawless twice with LFGs. In Y2, even. Of course, use discretion and check the stats for any group before you dive in.
56 kills while heart broken and 34 revives. What I find really odd is that I didn't get an email about the most recent iron banner but I did get this one.

Go figure my internet is out so waiting for a tech so I can hopefully get on today to do some trials and pick up Hawkmoon and an engram or two to try for Thorn.

FWIW, I don't think Hawkmoon is anything special, and wouldn't recommend buying it from Xur given it'll only be 280 anyway. I think for almost everyone buying 3 of Coins is far more effective, as you'll end up with 290's, and eventually 310's once your light is high enough. Only weapons that really change your life should be purchased directly, I think. Unless you already have all the exotics you want in general?
Outside of TLW, you don't really see hand cannons being used in modes where light level matter. However if hcs end up being worthwhile then hawkmoon is going to top of the pile (it even got nerfed in the last weapon patch).

Hawkmoon is great, not sure what you're on about there. A strong, quick shooting weapon with the potential to wipe out your opponents with the lucky shots. Also 280 wouldn't be a problem in Banner if the rest of your stuff is up to snuff.

I'm not saying it's horrible, I'm just considering the opportunity cost. Especially for a new(er) (year two) player, it's far more efficient to get your exotics from 3oC. You'll have the chance to get a higher light version anyway, and all the other exotics you're likely missing.
Hawkmoon is great in close range, but TLW fires faster and has great hipfire. If you manage to proc the LitC shot you can two-shot kill an enemy, but any gun that relies on luck can be iffy. I would say it's a lot of fun to use, but there are much more reliable choices. Most primaries should hit at least mid-range, since your secondary is usually short or long range.
Hey! Shaxx! Stop giving me ghosts (304 when I have a 320 ghost in gear that puts me at 314) for doing all your weeklies! Nightfall equivalent rewards my ass.

I mean, that sounds pretty nightfall equivalent to me.

I think you mean the Ghostfall and yes the irony is palpable.
Anybody on the xbox side up for a Nightfall or three? Hopefully RNGesus will smile on me and I can get a bunch of strange coins so that RNGesus can in turn forsake me by denying me Thorn again.
Yeah, I earned my Thorn (by making mincemeat of normal Crucible during Irate Banana). Being someone who isn't very good at PvP it was the only way I'd ever earn it on my own.
My gold Trials bounty last night gave me an artifact
Bro. Vance. Wtf.
The only three Gold Trials bounties I've turned in have all been artifacts...
I have gotten three Inward Lamps, two Elevating Visions, three Binary Dawns, two snipers and a heavy MG, and a heap of weapon parts from scrapping them all.
Between switching up jobs and other things, I haven't played much Destiny at all lately. I completely skipped both the Valentine's event and the last Immutable Brachiator. But this week Xur had two items I managed to miss or not have enough coins for and assumed I would never see again - the Graviton Forfeit and Nothing Manacles - so I hopped on, realized that I had seventy-six coins banked across all three characters, and proceeded to buy the hat, the gloves, and one primary engram.
It was Thorn. I don't deserve one, but now I have one. Moo hoo hoo haa haa.

Nothing Manacles were never that strong but still a fun exotic for Voidwalkers to use in Year 1, Bungie nerfed the shit out of them in Year 2, so they are unfortunately almost worthless now.
It's a known fact that engravings or other detailing gives a 25% tactical advantage in combat. It's why Last Word is so OP, all that swag has pushed it's power level way above any other weapon.
So after a very long break from Destiny I've come back and am now the owner of a trio of exotic swords, a No Time To Explain and a Touch of Malice, and I'm waiting for Armsday to get my First Curse
Pretty successful week back, if I do say so myself.

Abdyos Common, the silver and yellow one..
Did a decent run with Arteen and Booker, lost out on 7 wins, despite some really insane games. One round, Booker took down 3 snipers single-handedly.
