Abydos Common (the ToO Shader) is a reference to the sacred city of Abydos, that was once the holiest place to the ancient egyptians, it was also where the worship of the Egyptian God Osiris originated.
If nothing else, Bungie's references are on point.
The full-auto perk doubles the fire rate for shotguns, yes. For Scout and Pulse rifles, it allows continuous fire without depressing the trigger at maximum fire rate.

Well my warlock is 26, so I'm running through the Dark Below stuff? I have a Bad Juju which I assume will stop being useful at some point but for now I'm liking it. Just running through content I haven't done and trying to level up. Fun though, I can definitely see the improvement. And I'm in the clan, yay! Now to catch up with everyone.
Looked at the ship ipad for the first time in forever.. .
....Beating Crota gets you a gnarly hive looking ship?....
I didn't know this but now I need to kill Crota I think.
Its not a certain drop, there are also 2 different ships, one for killing him on NM and one for killing him on HM, they are called Light in the Abyss (NM) and Bane of Dark Gods (HM)
I love doing that but I have never been that awesome.
And I need to learn to deal with incoming supers.
Suppression grenades will deal with Palpatine hands, self-rezers and arcblades if they try to challenge you in the thunderdome.
Scaramanga and hammer bros are a little harder to deal with because they can ice your bubble from distance before mercing you, but you can still nade them if you're lucky/good. However I would consider them something to run away from and hope your bubble distracts them long enough (I mean this depends on a scenario like in that video, where you bubble is out in the open. If you have it placed where they have to get close then the odds change a little).
I don't think suppression grenades can save you from a fisting, so really the only course of action there is to be ready to get out of dodge and hope you can get far enough away fast enough.
I think you have a slightly better window of opportunity to shut down Space Magic Johnson with suppression grenades (unless they go up high for the dunk) but I wouldn't bet my life on that so treat them the same as a fist of panic and just run.
Another fun thing to do with the bubble is run spike grenades, then if people decide to flock inside you just pop down a spike grenade laser light and welcome them to your buckshot discotheque.
Spike grenades aren't that great anywhere else though (they're basically a bankrupt man's lightning grenade) so it's hard to recommend them ahead of suppression or even magnet.
A fun thing to do with bubbles is run in and drop a Lightning grenade and keep on running, then watch the kills pop up when they try to hide out in their little sanctum and can't figure out whey they're getting blown up.

Ahhhhhh bugger... from the iPad phrasing I thought they were guaranteed drops.
I only ever run bubble with No Backup Plans and a good shottie, either CT-D or Chaperone. Put on the perk that when overshield is active, reload is super fast. Cackle manically as you become death incarnate.

The irony is that they absolutely can. And it sometimes leaves the offending Striker in a state where he is stuck in his animation. He just hangs in the air and will continue to do so until some kind soul puts him out of his misery.
Can I just say, I fucking despise Salvage. The rules are such garbage. It should be easy to take the point and hard to disable, not the other way around. As is now, if is a fool's errand to try and actually take the Relic, instead the smart idea is to let the enemy take it and then steal it for more points. The scoring infuriates me. If is my least favorite mode to play with randoms for that reason.

Salvage is a gametype that is entirely built upon post-MS Bungie's belief in the power of friendship/preformed groups vs pugs.
But the smart idea in Salvage is the way it's intended to be played. The gambit is that you can, working together defend the point to score. If you activate a relic alone, your team won't get as many points. If you capture and defend it together, you will.

I have never seen a Bane of Dark Gods drop. It's exclusive to Hard Mode. I have 9 listed completions for HM Crota's End (seems low, but whatever) so that's 54 potential drops for that ship (6 players each completion). I've seen the Crux drop maybe 5 to 6 times (including once for me). Anecdotal, but that type of evidence seems to back up the ship either not dropping or being brokenly rare.

I've had so many of them drop. The one I can't seem to get to drop is the VoG NM ship.

Whelp... chock it up to another shiny thing I won't get. Too bad too, cuz they look awesome.
The Agonarch is the same then? Random drop from an Oryx hard more kill?
Agonarch Karve is a guaranteed drop from your first Challenge Mode Oryx kill.
Alright... well that at least seems doable.
I'm hoping to start getting some raids in after this stretch I'm in the middle of at work, hopefully with PSN'ers in here if you aren't all too burnt out and have room on occasion. I'd planned on next week, but my schedule got balls'd up again, so it'll probably be the week after before I'm free at all.
How many of you guys plan on moving over to "The Division"? I'm not sure how keen I am on investing into another game like Destiny and i've heard mixed reviews buts it's done enough to get my curiosity.

I'll be checking it out, but I'm hesitant to say I'm "moving" over. It'll be something to play when I'm not Destinying.
Having only played the beta, I can say for myself that it's not going to replace Destiny. Even if it releases with a plethora of PVP modes not the dark zone, it won't scratch that itch the way the crucible does.
Hell, I really can't think of a moment in any other game that provides the same rush that eeking out a 5-4 win for a Flawless card does. My nerdy ass still gets goosebumps when I go back and watch those clips.
But hey, that's all me. I know plenty of people don't hold the crucible in such a high regard as I do.

I'm not making a "move" over to the Division, but I know I will be playing it. I took some days off this week for the launch and will be playing it a ton. But I still have raid nights on Tues/Thurs with Destiny and that aint going anywhere. Plus I still plan on playing crucible in Destiny because its a completely different kind of shooter and I want to get my Faction Exotics. When Destiny finally launches some new PvE content I will be all over that as well.
Destiny remains my main chicken because the gun play is just so damn satisfying. Division can't hold a candle to that for me, so while I will pick it up should I be able to get it for a price more appealing than £45 there's no chance I drop Destiny for it.

edit: I could have called the video sniper countering, but where's the fun in that.
I'd like to be able to apply different shaders to each piece of gear, too.

It is a long process that you might be some way through just by dint of playing Crucible, or you might not be.
This is not a drill. Amanda is selling a blue ship. You have only... okay you have 50+ hours to wander over if you give a crap.
Hmmmm.... a little Slipper Misfit action
