Is it possible to reverse stereo in windows?

So, I got a new headset and I like it quite a bit, but after buying I realized the mic is on the wrong side. The headphones are reversible so I figured I could just reverse the outputs, but after about a half hour of googling/fiddling it doesn't seem like windows provides an easy way to do this. Is there some sort of software that'll reverse L/R outputs for me? The headset is USB, so I can't even do wiring chicanery.

What version of windows? The last time I had to do this was in the Vista era, and that took third party software. Some audio drivers have the option built in.

Not a software solution, but what I've seen before is using two y-cables with stereo & audio jacks, plugged into each other backwards.

I haven't done it before, so I don't know if it incurs any drop in audio quality or anything like that.

What brand of headset, a lot of headsets in the last decade have hidden reboot options, like my headset I can reset the settings by spinning the mic a certain way and then back, that I only found out about on web forums, was never mentioned in the manual or anything.

it's USB, so that approach doesn't work

Something like that would be handled in the driver software of the device, windows doesn't provide an ability to do it.

If that fails, you would probably do it in each game/software and 'swap' stereo outputs. Most make this available (VLC for instance has this ability).

not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me

Ah, I see, wiring shenanigans. My bad. I have to agree with the others; it would either be in your audio drivers (mine don't have that functionality), or else you'd have to change the settings in each game or application, as best you can.
