    I've been given a prep question on variable scope (yeah).

    Here's some C:

int i;

int foo() {

}

	printf("%d\n\n",foo());
}

    I am tasked to answer: what happens? I want to say "the compiler protests at the uninitialized variable in foo() and refuses to compile" but that seems to be not the intended direction of the question.

    I don't have a C compiler (only Visual C++, which does indeed refuse to compile).
