The AI for Dark Bahamut has been the same every time we've seen him, event and dungeon. Self-flare is even more exploitable than you think: you can force Dark Bahamut's Reflect/Flare behavior by casting Reflect on him, and then hitting him and dispelling flare. Multiple self-flares per Megaflare cycle. It's quite something to watch; never tried it myself. In fact, there was a three-man video beating dark bahamut that relied on self-flare and PCecil (IIRC) wielding Minus Strike for damage.
Actually, man, I'm not all that excited for most of the banners. Also no Thyrus which is insanely lame.
Not all that excited being a pull on 1 and 5, probably. 2 maybe just for chance at Focus, even though that is the least inspiring collection of super smash brothers they could possibly put together. Terra's SSB banner is safely far less exciting than the Celes banner it will show up on later.
FFT should be happening before April. Yuna's Gunner event happens right in middle of the banners, and FFT is before it. You can spend whatever mythril on FFT and save what you want for any SSB banners. That 5th banner is definitely the most attractive one.

Banners got translated, FF2 is in there. Also of note, the Relm banner (four away) is when they start handing out multiple MC2 crystals during events, so be ready to get your Sundaily on even harder than before
Wow, an additional SSBs per banner! Definitely pulling on Banner 4, Valiant Knife makes Locke a beast. Actually kind of want to pull on each. Five is awesome shame I have half of those pieces, the other half are also great, especially Lenna's sword.
Guess this helps my indecision on tonight's banner, sorry Garnet going to have to wait another week.
There is too much going on all at once! I want to pull on some of the SSB Banners. But I want to blow a whole bunch on FFT. But I also want to try for Yuna's guns.
Guess maybe I can spend a little cash in the coming weeks. This game has certainly earned some of my cash. I spend more time on RK than I do on real video games.
Also, I was looking at the full event list on Kong Bak Pao and they show Yuna's event got bumped up before FFT. Looks like DeNA is trying to get people to spend a bunch of mithril before they release scream.
@Lucascraft: Yuna's guns are currently considered the WORST BSB. Yuna's awesome, but don't do it, your quest will end in salty tears. If you really want to chase a relic, go for Shadow's SSB. 7+ multiplier and it's instant cast.
Wow, those banners. Glad I've got 450+ mythril. What a refreshing improvement after the catastrophe of the last SSBfest. I'll be pulling on phase 1 until I get at least one, hopefully two physical SSBs (they gave us the banner stacked with 3 physical SSBs first, yay!); then hopefully will be able to spare an 11x or two for 4 and 5 (because PCecil, Locke, Gil and Lightning all have great SSBs, and the rest of banner 5 is FANTASTIC); with 50 or 100 mythril reserved for FFT (because the hype is epic).
And we get Rinoa's summoning buff. Because Rinoa = teh AWESOME.
And we don't even know yet if we'll get any lucky banners... if we get what Japan did, we've still got 75 mythril and 3 lucky banners coming.

I saw Laguna's portrait at the top of that page for phase 3 and got all excited for a moment because I thought it was Zack. And since I've got two Zack relics already, having his SSB would be killer. But then my excitement turned to disappointment when I realized it wasn't Zack, but rather Laguna, who is level 1 and I don't care about.

Same here. I'd rather try for Locke's SSB but it's just too important to have wall, especially if you want to be a little flexible in what RW to bring.
Damn, I should've waited on the SSB celebration instead of dropping my 50 on the IX banner.
Then again, I got some great things, including Garnet's Leviathan, some 5* Mage armor, and TWO of the Guardian ribbon, so i suppose I can't complain too badly.

Don't be so grumpy. Locke's SSB is excellent, but you shouldn't be chasing a single relic anyway - unless it's a Wall. OTOH, banner 5 also has two excellent physical SSBs, very good BM and WM SSBs (Garnet's is Hastega!), and one of the best medicas in the game (and Yuffie apparently is a Thief's Raid beast once she gets her MC2). If you're pulling banner 5, you have a 50% chance of getting something great on every 11x pull, and the worst relic there is Golbez's armor - even that is situationally useful. Our SSBfest banners are even better than Japan's (opinions may differ).
Umm... looks like we're getting a lucky draw for every phase?! So... five lucky draws. Not sure how to deal with that.
Also 4 days per orbfest phase is fantastic. Will definitely be dropping some Mythril on stamina refreshes during phase 2
No announcement, but there wouldn't neccisarrilly be any indication like the banners. Japan got them as part of the anniversary deal so it's likely. I'm adopting the get hyped for SSB fest attitude and anything else is a nice surprise.

Usually I would be inclined to drop mithril on refreshes during Orb Fest, but this time, with so many goodies looming on the horizon, I just cannot justify any mithril expenditures except on banners.

Personally, I think that you should do many refreshes during Orbfest. You've already got Sentinel's Grimoire and Princess' Favor (and Boon, but why bring Sazh when you can bring WallTyro), but have had trouble with some Ultimates in the past. You need big 4* hones and to prepare for some 5* hones to go with those. I could see you spending some mythril chasing some SSBs or a different Hastega, but honestly you should be prioritizing orb farming at least equally.
Everyone should farm orbs! Orbfest starts tonight and the importance of high hones on good abilities cannot be understated.
considering the JP anniversary fest had about a 9.5 stam/greater drop rate, each full stamina bar would get you 16 greater orbs of all types combined (so ~5 of each orb type) which is twice as good as any daily.
for 5 refreshes, you could get almost enough to hone a 4* skill to R3. or you could get a single 3* relic.
During JP Anniversary, they got 25 Mythril and three back-to-back Lucky Draws costing 25 Mythril apiece. Then once the banners were done, they got the Orthros summon, 1x 5* sword and 50x Mythril. So far, this banner has been translated;
Which suggests we'll be following the same pattern.
