Wait a minute, I just looked in the shop cause I'm at 12k gold...
There's now an Eternal Conflict bundle with Tyrael, Diablo, their swapped roles skins, and Tyrael's Charger. Okay, that makes sense.
But also Kerrigan and Succubae Kerrigan for some reason?! Yeah, just stick a Starcraft character with a Warcraft skin into a clearly Diablo-themed bundle.
And then the Ultimate version of the bundle adds Butcher and Valla, but still with Kerrigan.

Succubi were very common ranged enemies in Diablo 1's final stratum and may have inspired the design of the WoW succubus. And I guess they were also enemies in Diablo 3 past a point where I stopped playing.

HOLY JEEZ. This game. This game. Note the Core health up there. We came back from a deficit of 1-28. ONE TO TWENTY EIGHT. The enemy team grabbed the Boss when we had 5 health left on our Core, bringing us down to 1. From that point forward... I dunno what happened, but whatever it was, it was magical. We suddenly got all our collective shits together and started winning. We captured two Forts and grabbed three Altars. We didn't drop a single Altar from that point on. Boss respawned. Enemy team, very expectedly, postures for it. We're there, we engage, we kill off one or two and send the rest packing. Altars spawn RIGHT as the teamfight ends.
It's a Triple.
We're already positioned near the enemy altar. All we have to do is grab one Altar to win. Just one! As does the enemy team. Core health is 1-3 at this point. We kill Brightwing and Uther top. Our Abby goes bottom. Their Jaina intercepts him. I fly in bottom, Gust off Jaina and chunk her. She Ice Blocks.
And... We win! Someone grabbed an Altar while that was happening. My hands are still shaking, man.
The best part of that game, though, was all the compliments I got about my Gusts. :winky:
He was making the point that you need a team to do everything and it is somehow related to younger players not being able to work together or something, haha. Bakery even follows up and says Xul is really good partially because he gives the team a giant KILL THIS TARGET icon.
Part of me actually finds something charming about Blizzard using the same 15-year-old icons for their games.
(sweet christ, Warcraft 3 is 15 years old)
I'm actually kinda bummed out they've been redoing the icons. I loved the old wc3/wow icons that have been kicking around for over a decade. Especially on the old warcraft heroes like Uther/Tyrande/Muradin/Malf, those icons are older than dirt and they're great! I also like the weird ones like Falstad's barrel roll being moonkin form and Li Li's blinding wind being death and decay.

Man I wish all my teammates were 40. Maybe then I wouldn't get so many shit birds in HL.
Had this game earlier on Battlefield of Eternity, while I was in duo queue with Rynox. It was an absolute stomp in our favor; by the second Immortal phase, about 11 or 12 minutes in, we had taken both of their Keeps and were damaging their Core.
Rynox and I died while attacking their Core, but the Immortal was still on it and his girlfriend had just come home, so he was like, "gg, man. I gotta take off". And that was cool, because we had it in the bag. The only problem was that the entire rest of our team began to chase Raynor all over creation instead of attacking the enemy Core.
When the Immortal dies, it has 6% health.
Enemy team has an Abathur who took Mule, so it begins to slowly regenerate back to full.
We are like 12 minutes in at this point.
The game proceeds to drag out for another twenty fucking minutes, while we struggle to stay afloat 4v5, first dealing with Rynox's hero just chilling back in the Fountain, and then with the bot that replaced him feeding ravenously.
Enemy team is pushing our Core when he jumps back on Vent. He's like, "omg dude, did the game get thrown after I left?" and at this point I'm like legitimately salty, because I figure there's no way out of this - we turned a 12 minute win into a 32 minute nightmare.
Rynox jumps back in the game and we go fucking BEAST MODE. End up immediately turning the enemy team away, winning the next Immortal phase easily, and pushing Core for the win.
The point of my story is, don't ever fucking assume the game is over until the Core is dead. Because, who knows, maybe the rest of your team is dumb as a box of hair, and would rather chase a kill than finish.
OMG I'm at 1 and 6 now I think with over half the losses due to completely shit teammates.
Win 3 always causes terrible games. It's like that daily was created via a monkey's paw wish.
1 and 8 now. The last one because my team was too fucking stupid to listen to me when I yelled at them to stop the Azmondan/Abathur cheese strat. But nope, they wouldn't and he 100%->0% our core in less then a minute.

But I guess time marches on.
The Moonkin Form icon wasn't even for Moonkin originally. I know some parrots used it beforehand, and it might have been used in Warcraft 3 but I can't remember.
Li Li has a lot of old stuff. The Water Dragon icon is a naga!
I like the direction they are going with most of these. They are frequently just updated version of old icons.

The nice thing about low-rank HL games is that you get hilarious stories. For example, my latest game involved someone last-picking Thrall even though we didn't have a support. This, of course, led to everyone being salty as fuck. However, I refused to let this drag me down - while I may be an asshole in real life, I try to be more positive in my digital life, because really, it's all I have left.
So, as soon as we spawn, I try to be encouraging.
Which goes over about as well as I expected...
But I refuse to be brought down! Because I am on Xul and Xul is OP!
And lo and behold, 43 seconds in, Xul shows why he is OP with not just one-
-but TWO kills! (with a little help from m'boy Stitches)
Which gives us a +5 morale modifier for the rest of the game!
To keep with the positivity, I take the time to shout out to Nova for laning mid while I hearth.
5 minutes in, we have a level lead and easily get the first spiders, so I keep pushing the good vibes. Li-Ming is still on the fence. =(
25 minutes in, we've managed to win most of the team fights and maintained the lead in the game, and Li-Ming finally comes around!
After an arduous 35-minute battle, we manage to eke out a win!
End game stats for posterity.
The moral of this story is FUCKING ALWAYS BE POSITIVE YOU DUMB BITCHES AND MAYBE GOOD THINGS WILL HAPPEN.
Honestly, Xul's E is just dumb. I wasn't able to stay in melee range for long without a healer, but was able to set up so many kills for Nova and Li-Ming just by hitting E, smacking them a few times, and walking away. Stitches also did some mad work with the hook. Also, once we hit 20 they basically didn't have a healer because of Mortal Wound - this skill seriously needs to be nerfed, because I killed at least three Ancestrals with it, not to mention all the Chain Heals on their warriors.

Hah you're right, I totally forgot about that. I had a Hyacinth Macaw with that icon! Let it never be said Blizzard doesn't get their moneys worth from their icon art.

Was hoping magestad would make me able to play him but no, still real bad.
It's... not bad? Especially with Overdrive. It does pretty good damage. But fuck me the cooldown is just way too high to be usable.
Gusterino til I die, then.
