OMG I'm at 1 and 6 now I think with over half the losses due to completely shit teammates.
Win 3 always causes terrible games. It's like that daily was created via a monkey's paw wish.
1 and 8 now. The last one because my team was too fucking stupid to listen to me when I yelled at them to stop the Azmondan/Abathur cheese strat. But nope, they wouldn't and he 100%->0% our core in less then a minute.
Yeah when you have this quest just go easy AI. Each game takes about five minutes. Losing eight games as you mention would have be salty and tilting like mad since that's about 3+ hours of disappointment.

TBH I just take a two-day break when I get those, then come back and do the OTHER quests I get instead. Means I'll fill that 8 per eventually but be somewhat more sane while doing it.
I like the abathur test to see if a hero it's OP. Clone Xul and have 2 Xuls running around, hilarious and think I won every team fight with it. Double roots, for some reason you get the benefit of the evasion talent on armor, then you die and go back to hatting xul
It'd be really weird for them to shove out a patch this big without testing for bugs first.
Other than the new hero and map there aren't any other changes in this patch - they've already said that the final balance patch was last weeks and there won't be another balance patch until after the Spring Regionals.
Given that Warcraft has the patch going live on the 22nd, I expect the same for HotS.
Just had a splendid moment in QM. Wish I'd been recording it, but I was on the wrong computer for that, it would have made an amazing WTF moment.

Game is a bit weird. It's Johanna (me), Nazeebo, Nova, Gazlowe, Greymane VS. Xul, Nova, Zeratul, Hammer, Tyrael. We've had excellent lane control for most of the game, but we fucked up REALLY BADLY at one point and the other team got Tribute + ganked a boss from us. A Sad Time. However, because we had solid lane control early on, we still have 3 forts, they have 2, and minions + mercs have plinked their core down to 9%. Unfortunately, I am the only one alive, because we fucked up. I go "I'mma grab mercs while I wait for y'all to respawn" and go to do just that.
Trib spawns near me as I do this. We are at 2 to 0 (favoring our team) on tribs. Trib is the Top trib close to the watchtower (so fairly close to core).
Rest of team respawns.
I go "HEAD TO CORE. WITNESS ME."
I run and get trib. Enemy team shows up EXACTLY as I grab it. I circle up to top lane and start to act like I'm pushing to their core by myself. Entire fucking team except Hammer shows up to stop me.
I'm Johanna. At present, I'm at full health. This doesn't last, but...
Nova: TT
Me: Laws of Hope, Holy Renewal
Xul: Bone Prison
Me: I GOT THE D (by which I mean Iron Skin)
Zeratul: VP appears to be on CD. Attempts to gank.
Me: CONDEMN TO INTERRUPT. BURNING RAGE TO MAKE YOU ADMIT THAT WAS A STUPID IDEA.
Tyrael: SWORD!!!
Me: INDESTRUCTIBLE! ALSO: HOLY RENEWAL, AGAIN. THANKS FOR BEING LINED UP NICELY SO I CAN PROC ON ALL FOUR OF YOU.
Me: PS: CAPTAIN AMERICA SHIELD so y'all slow down while I run
At this point, the rest of my team is at the core. Wisely, Ty and Zera peel off and go to deal with that.
But Nova and Xul are still chasing.
Nova: *thanks to shield stun, is now juuuust out of range for snipe*
Xul: BONE PRISON
Me: GUESS WHAT IS OFF CD!? It's Iron Skin :V
Xul and Nova: WELL... ....... are we all the way to your inner fort in mid lane. that you are now inside.
Me: yes wow how about that
Me: PS gj putting your team in a 3v4 at your 9% core
Me: delicious friends
TL;DR -- as Johanna, I peeled a Xul and Nova across THE ENTIRE RAVEN COURT MAP.

I rewatched one of our teamleague games and Antaeus legit kept a Li-Ming occupied for like 20 seconds at level 1 in Cursed Hallow's jungle and didn't even die.
The nice thing about low-rank HL games is that you get hilarious stories. For example, my latest game involved someone last-picking Thrall even though we didn't have a support. This, of course, led to everyone being salty as fuck. However, I refused to let this drag me down - while I may be an asshole in real life, I try to be more positive in my digital life, because really, it's all I have left.
[big ol' wall o' screens]
The moral of this story is FUCKING ALWAYS BE POSITIVE YOU DUMB BITCHES AND MAYBE GOOD THINGS WILL HAPPEN.
Honestly, Xul's E is just dumb. I wasn't able to stay in melee range for long without a healer, but was able to set up so many kills for Nova and Li-Ming just by hitting E, smacking them a few times, and walking away. Stitches also did some mad work with the hook. Also, once we hit 20 they basically didn't have a healer because of Mortal Wound - this skill seriously needs to be nerfed, because I killed at least three Ancestrals with it, not to mention all the Chain Heals on their warriors.
"great teamwork guys"
"so N'Sync"
hahahahahah
that right there is why I wish something like commendations or upvoting existed. I'd commend the shit out of that guy. What a great pun. 10/10.
Also yeah, I legit lead off EVERY SINGLE GAME with a "glhf! ". Or in Hero League, I enter the draft with "hello all".
I make sure to give props to my teammates after good teamfights, or ganks, or getting the objective. Something simple like "nice" or "nj". That's all it takes. Keep morale high, even if it's simple shit like that. It REALLY does make a difference.

Ended up needing to go to bed while sitting at 2 and 8 and just did the last as Vikings in AI.
I was mostly getting pissed off at stupid people. The weekends are just so fucking terrible for most of my teams for some reason. A few games we legitimately lost but probably at least 5 of those losses were just straight stupid teammates.
A BB where my team simply refused to listen when I told them we had to shutdown the Azmodan/Abathur cheese immediately. Xul, unfortunately, is melee and lacks a stun and so can't stop them. They just said "calm down" and then, lo, he got a keep and double Azmodan+army ult on the core took it from 100% to 0% before they could all hearth and come help me stop it.
A BoE where we had tank/healer/double stealth and the 4 of them couldn't do shit in a lane together while I'm top holding a lane 1v2 while 2 levels down. Zeratul and Nova missed every skill shot that game, I swear.
And at least 2 games where it was "Our all assassin team can't deal with Hammer" because there are no tanks or decent ranged players in the queue on the weekends apparently.
I still don't get why it happens either. The increased playerbase should make the mm better skill wise. Less blowouts either way and more close games. But it just seems to continually pull my winrate down with bad teams.
I didn't even notice what happened with the Illidan BM, because I routinely see cores explode when the health bar is still showing like 5%. GJ Nazeebo for beating down that troll.
Oh man so I was playing a game with Ducks and Weasel on Cursed Hollow, I was Xul. We struggled pretty hard most of the game, then came back. Started marching in on the Core. Their Illidan is super low health, hovering near his Hall of Storms. He's B-Stepping. Taunting us, knowing we can't do anything cause he can just pop into his Hall of Storms. The ultimate BM.
Also known as "hearthstepping", it's the process of repeatedly alternating between move commands and the hearthstone button (by default, b). This only causes a minor loss in movespeed while leaving an amusing trail of particle effects. This was once considered a kind-hearted show of friendship alongside Pallytime's patented Spin of Friendship or the more risky /dance, but has since fallen from the community's good graces and is now considered among the height of Bad Manners.
So how is Xul after his changes? Thinking about buying him to have another specialist to play, since currently the only ones I like are Zag and Murky.
From the perspective of someone who hasn't played him yet, he seems pretty solid. Bone Prison is ridiculously good against almost everyone except Johanna*
*Dear Xul players: seriously why you target Jo first with Bone Prison? There's sometimes reasons to get me to pop Iron Skin early, but 90% of the time you've wasted it. Either wait till you know Iron Skin is on CD (did you see the shield come up? is it gone now? now is the time!) or use it on a target on which it will actually do something.
After about a month hiatus, does hots have matchmaking yet? Let's find out.
Game 1: win!
Game 2: crushing loss
Game 3: crushing loss
Game 4: person dropped
Game 5: up against a five man and we only have a three man, but irrelevant because our Johanna dropped at the 4 minute mark.
Nope, no matchmaking yet. Shit, at this point I'd like to go just one day without having a person on my team drop.
You do realize that the most perfect matchmaking algorithm in the whole world cannot account for drops, right? It sucks that it happens, but they can't prevent it.
The only thing they can do is punish it harder. Make leaver hell worse. Of course, as soon as they make leaver hell worse, then they're gonna start losing accounts rapidly, because a large portion of the MOBA community are asshats who leave when they don't get their way. Punishing bad behavior will just drive them away from the game. In the short term that might sound great. Drive away the leavers. But when the overall queues are noticeably much longer, that will be a problem.
I have never experienced a moba where drops are this frequent. And those mobas tended to have way longer matches than hots.
Something seems wrong with the game's leaver queue, because otherwise I must be the world's unluckiest person and getting first or second offenders every single time. When half of my games in a day are me sitting around waiting to lose, it feels like a massive waste of my time.

To be honest? That sounds exactly what's happening. People come on here to complain about shitty teammates and whatnot on the weekends, you're literally the only person here complaining about ludicrous amounts of disconnects. Perhaps try queuing more with PAers to reduce the number of teammates that can randomly drop?
So how is Xul after his changes? Thinking about buying him to have another specialist to play, since currently the only ones I like are Zag and Murky.
Still super busted.
The nerfs made him a bit more manageable, but he's still just fucking ridiculous. Still 1st pick material for HL, because he's still the best laner/pusher and because picking him straight up means the enemy team can't pick melees.
At this point I think they need to up the CD on his E or something.

Form my personal experience, I rarely see full "drops" where someone leaves the game and never returns. A couple of games a week I'll get someone who keeps dropping and reconnecting, but that's clearly a connection issue on their end. And I've played dozens of games a week for the past several months, so I'd get pretty pissed pretty quickly if it happened as regularly as every other game.

idea: up bone prison's cooldown to 30, move it to skeleton mage's spot, make bone armor his e
can just make frost mages kel'thuzads other ult if you really want to (first one being chain frost, of course)
