The Division is a squad based free for all that puts players vs AI and other squad to gain gear and levels.

Set in Manhatten after a breakout of a deadly virus, the game offers tactical gameplay with several different classes such as Support, Offense, and Defense.

The game acts a lot like a 3rd person shooter/rpg and is only multiplayer. Going it alone does not work, so gather your friends and go on missions, find loot, or kill other players who have gone rogue.

The game's release date is March 8th 2016 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Open beta on the 18th of January for Xbox one, 19th for everyone else. Ending on the 21st was fantastic.

Did the police precinct mission on hard earlier, was a pug group but damn the final battle was super awesome and satisfying.

What's the PvP really like? Do you see yourself playing this a couple months from now or will Dark Souls 3 completely derail the community?

I'm on the fence. Never got a chance to play beta and PvP is always what makes or breaks a multiplayer game like this for me.

So my national guard and hazmat stuff is in the vendor but the alpha/beta hat and skins aren't. Neither are the paramedic, hunter, or firefighter things. There is some cop stuff though.

I didn't have any of that stuff yesterday despite making sure the items were downloaded from the Game Management in xbox live. When I logged in today, the alpha and beta cosmetics and the Agent Origins cosmetics were all in my Rewards Vendor at the base. Not sure why it was delayed, but they did finally appear despite me not doing anything new today.

Me and Bitannex have been tearing it up. Had a good run in the DZ before...well, before it wasn't a good run. Level 15's that swarm you with shotties in packs of seven at a time is not a pretty sight when your lv 11ish.

So me and my buddy were in the dark zone and a group of 3 13 year old or so we're extracting by us.

Teen 1:you stole my stuff!

Teen 2: I didn't mean to and you stole my stuff earlier!

Teen 1: because you said it was junk anyway!

Teen 3: I don't like playing with you guys you always argue!

At this point, without saying a,word me and my buddy know what must be done.

But things get even better. They accidentally go rogue and run off while blaming teen 2.

We extract, they return. Now teen 1 is furious he missed the extraction, blaming teen 2. Teen 2 meanwhile noticed us sticking around. He asks about us and teen 1 says he remembers us from earlier and were fine. This is true, we did help them earlier. But teen 2 is right to be suspicious

Teen 2 then shoots me once and my buddy once. Teen 1 and 3 start yelling at him. We don't respond. The chopper arrives. They go to extract and we gun them down while teen 1 and teen 3 scream at teen 2 about how he always ruins everything.

Pretty sure we straight up ruined friendships this afternoon. Got some nice blues out of it (and escaped as rogues so woo)

Now advice time: if your planning on dz fun, rush virus protection 4. It's the only way to navigate the sewers. A must have for rogues and rogue hunters alike.

Yeah, the early levels you can very safely hide in the level 4 virus areas, a lot of people can't get there because they focus on other stuff in their upgrade wing.

You unlock the alpha/beta stuff through Uplay, the paramedic etc, have to be downloaded separately from the store, I also had to do that.

I went to the Dark Zone today (had to get same level as my friend)

Left as Dark Zone rank 14 and with 7300 Dark Zone Funbucks and a ton of loot.

Fuck the Parking Garage for blatantly spawning enemies in my back and respawning the same enemies several times during a single extraction at times though.

Also the Medkit Dropbox Ammo Supply thing does not regenerate ammo, It just makes reloads not spend any ammo when inside the area of effect!

I have also discovered that this game has an ACR in it and the pattern for it is pretty much just straight up, super consistent. I have yet to actually find a usable ACR though, so sadness.

So same question from last thread: What's this about a shotgun sidearm? I never got that and it didn't show up anywhere. I have bought the season pass the second day after a day of playing though and decided that this was my shit

The Defiler is a level 5 blue sawed-off, double-barrel shotgun that goes in your sidearm slot. It comes from the Season Pass and can be redeemed at the Rewards Vendor (apparently, it takes some time for the system to acknowledge that your Rewards Vendor should have stuff...but it'll notify you that there are new items that can be redeemed there).

I did the exact same thing. I thought that the detonator was on top of a pile of boxes or wooden pallets - turns out it's sitting on a crate-sized pile of high explosives. One quick respawn later and I found a much better point to defend from.

Yeah, I just moved off the platform and cleared it. I liked that mission, really made me feel like I needed to upgrade my gear more. Especially the marksman duel.

Just waiting for a Tactical ACP to drop... or to find the blueprint for it. SOON.

Haven't found any SMGs that I like yet. Need to go to the DZ for the first time post-beta too.

When I get my dream SMG I will only use a shotty or marksman as an alternate; using both is pretty OP since shotguns actually function in mid-range. Rolling with the SASG-12 at present.

Also need to stop using medical abilities all the time. Pulse and First Aid for lyf!

I just did the second Medical mission with the crane. Holy fuck was that hard. In a group of three, and I'm fairly certain all of us were teamed wiped at least four times.

One guy who was hot micing on the fucking PC, being able to hear his game sounds (the fuck?). And another group member sounded like some 12-year old russian kid talking to his mom.

Yeah, people suck with mics. Nearly half the randoms I grouped with had open mics and you could hear their game and people echoing or just them sitting there breathing, coughing, chewing, etc.

The only thing I need to hear from you is "Ready" and "Clear." :P
