Hi Guys,

I love testing new games, and watching them progress. It is my first time attending any PAX event, is there many early access games normally?

As long as you don't mind waiting in long lines, yes.

There is a whole room with pretty much early access, demos and displays from upcoming games...oh sorry did I say a room I meant a football field. It's pretty impressive just to walk through let alone play, but the lines can be tedious unless you have a portable game.

Counter-point: Don't bother with the big publishers and spend your days in the Indie Megabooth. A lot of those booths are not terribly crowded, and the developers are all too happy to chat with you about their game. And you're far more likely to get some hands on time.

I've only been one year but that was my experience. I turned down trying out games, mostly because they had already gotten checked off on my buy list but I still chatted up the devs.

yeah I usually come back from a PAX with three or four new indie titles, some early access some not.

At PAX South, @Squeakel bought a 4-pack of a game that was released on PAX Saturday. They tried to play it but it was so buggy it wouldn't work at all. They complained to the devs Sunday morning in person and it was fixed by the end of the day. :)
