When packs rotate out of Standard, Blizzard will stop selling them in the store, but you will be able to craft the individual cards.
When adventures rotate out of Standrd, you will be unable to buy and play any wing of that adventure (unless you've already purchased a wing, I think).
I'm not totally clear on when this happens though. I want to say it's ~18 months after release.
Ben streamed today and when asked about owl and bgh he said "In general I think those kinds of things might be better as not part of the evergreen sets in standard."

Presumably he wasn't able to finish the game. 5/1 trades into Huffer, 1/8 trades into Spider, Armor Up+Tournament Medic healing means he can outsustain the incoming Hunter damage.

Well I didn't, but he dropped Shieldmaiden anyway. I was just very sad to be so close, and yet so far because explosive trap couldn't have been a few cards later.

WoG is also a magic term meaning a full board clear (a la twisting nether, named after the card Wrath of God) so it's probably best not to use that.

Man I got destroyed tonight. Only won two games and lost something like 9 or 10, first with Maly Renolock and then with zoo. Only wins were zoo against the two control warriors I faced. Oh well, tomorrow will be better.

I've had two bad days in a row. 12 to 18. Pretty frustrating. Feel like I'm making good trades..prioritizing tempo vs. value ok, etc.
Man, OTK priest is going to really struggle in Standard if there's no replacement for Deathlord, Velen's, and kinda-sorta Chow. Just missing some solid defensive cards and the 3-cost slot is particularly devoid of good picks. I mean, there's Death but you really want something like Deathlord to stop early aggression. I feel Horror is just one mana overpriced and one attack too low to fill that niche. Losing Sludge and Light Bomb also sting, and I kinda wonder about Priest in general for Standard.
Deathlord is probably my favourite card rotating out. I like overstatted powerful cards with a potentially catastrophic downside. I want more Deathlords and Fel Reavers.
4 priest cards left to reveal but I agree. I wonder what priest will look like in standard. Gotta say tho, Herald Volasjz is one of my most wanted legendaries, he has potential

What would be a better buy as someone still trying to build up their card collection.
BRM/LOE - I'm leaning towards BRM because I want to try out some dragon stuff (whoops I bought a wing when I first started so I kinda lose the discount)

Standard and TGT packs?
or i'm also open to suggestions.
LOE probably isn't worth it unless you need certain cards for some of the decks (Mrrgleton, Reno, for example). I would focus on classic until the new set drops now, as the meta is going to shift and a lot of cards will be rethought/revisited.

I had assumed we would see that there would be some neutral defensive minions but so far we haven't gotten anything like that, not something really worth playing anyway.

It'll be annoying if there is only one decent defensive neutral. I could see them not wanting to give us too many, but it means you'll see the same card in every non aggro deck, they had a chance to move away from that

Technically you can still craft them. So if a new player really wanted to play a deck in wild that uses Flamewaker they could save up to craft two.
Ah alright that makes sense. If they'll be craftable down the line then I don't think i'll include that in my decision on what to buy.

I had a Druid quest and went from rank 5 to the bottom of 7 just to win 3 games. The meta is just druid and druid-hate right now.
Fwiw I queued the perfect counter deck and pretty much streaked up to rank 4 again (I went 9:1).
