And Kobe's last play in the NBA is an assist. Because of course.

Kobe just hugged all his Laker babies.

    I'm crying over here.

Kobe is giving the longest press conference ever, and he's even answering in Spanish to the Spanish media that's there.

He actually answers questions in both Spanish and Italian. He's done it for a long time.

Kobe's 60 points tonight was the highest individual scoring performance this season from any player.

Also, I've seen a lot of people joking about his number of attempts and accuracy, but seriously, he shot 44% tonight, which is more or less his career FG%. This game could have come straight out of his prime, it was that good.

And he didn't even have an opponent that would just let him score willy-nilly. Utah had a considerable stake in the outcome of that game.

They were already eliminated by the time it happened.

Their only stake was wanting to go 41-41 for exactly .500 instead of 40-42.

now we get to watch the Warriors obliterate the Rockets

and then the Rockets obliterate themselves

I wish I had stayed up to watch that Lakers game.

The Warriors game was basically pointless

Fun fact from Reddit - Steph Curry began this season 50th in career 3 pointers made. He finished 19th.

The more I think about it the more I realize how perfect this season was as a goodbye to Kobe.

He didn't give a fuck about his team he just went out there and threw up shots all year and a few of them stuck while he sucked up the limelight for the year.

The other one I saw going around was Curry's hit more 3s in the last two seasons than Bird did for his career.

    Speaking of Curry.
Curry has four games with at least 10 3-pointers this season; no one else in NBA history has that many games with 10 3-pointers in a career, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

This is a neat little factoid that I heard during the local broadcast last night.

The Bulls would have also been 73-9 during the 95-96 season, but on April 8th they lost to Charlotte.

How did they lose? Dell Curry hit two free throws with no time remaining on the clock to put Charlotte up 98 to 97.

    SHOCKING!

I'm kind of surprised they've been promising that move for quite some time. Thought they might just stick with him because it's too much work to get a new coach.

If there's one things the Kings are good at and okay with, its firing coaches and searching for a new one, respectively.

They should have just moved to Seattle and become the Supersonics.

    A) that wouldn't solve the problem of the owner being a maniac
    B) why put another city through that?

Most likely the NBA will be back in Seattle one day, I'd bet by way of an expansion team.

I don't think we'll see an expansion team for a very long time. Expansion dilutes the talent pool and can lower the value of other franchises which no owner would agree to.

Did you guys see that next season teams will be allowed to have one sponsor badge on their uniforms? Anybody want to guess which corporation your team will rep? If the Sixers aren't Comcast I'll eat my hat.
