There is not a scene in TDKR where Batman shoots someone between the eyes with a machine gun, Zack Snyder you god damn dweeb.
There's a scene where Batman shoots a machine gun at an off-screen baddie who has a baby held hostage. It's not between the eyes, but I'll happily lay the blame for that atrocity on Frank Miller rather than Zack Snyder.

the scene in the comic is ambiguous enough that it doesn't have to be read as Batman killing the guy, and it kinda flies in the face of the rest of the comic re: Batman refusing to kill the Joker and refusing to use firearms in general
i'm no fan of Miller but Snyder could have easily interpreted that scene in a better light and of course he went the other way with it because he's the kind of person who has a collection of skulls and axes in his office because he thinks they look cool
I keep hearing that BvS is "a movie for audiences, not critics"- what a load of BvS
The movie probably doesn't deserve the 29% it has on Rotten Tomatoes but I don't believe for a second that they weren't aiming to make new critically acclaimed thinking-man's alternative to Marvel's stuff, in the same vein as Dark Knight

I've been reading BvS spoilers.
What the fuck?
I'm glad I'm not spending money to see it in the theater.

Before it came out, they were talking about how Warner were concerned that it'd be too intellectual for the viewing audience. Now it's "not for critics".
It's almost like they've known for some time that it'd be a pile of excrement and they're just rotating through excuses until they find one that sticks.
+4

The friends I have who have seen BvS so far seem to have enjoyed it a bunch
Which I'm glad about, honestly
I recognize that the movie may not be for me, but I have friends who enjoyed Man of Steel, friends who were really excited about this flick
I'd hate for it to disappoint them, even if it has disappointed me
Rewatch ing Age of Ultron for the first time since opening weekend.
Strucker: "Can we hold them?"
Worried Looking Hydra Goon "... they're the avengers."
Strucker: "WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER!"
Hydra Goons: "HAIL HYDRA! HAIL HYDRA!"
Strucker (To Lieutenant) : "I am going to surrender."
One of my favorite MCU gags is still the scene near the end of Iron Man 3 where he gets his repulsors back, and the last goon is like, "Yeah, no, not worth it."
GotG and Ant-Man both hit very specific buttons for me that make me love them a whole bunch but in terms of straight up quality yeah it comes down to Iron Man 3 vs. Winter Soldier for me
Specifically in the first episode of AoS, Ward is stuck with allegedly an incredibly potent truth serum to earn Daisy's trust.
It's revealed a couple episodes later that it was a trick and there was nothing in that syringe but at the time I went HOLY SHIT HE CAME SO CLOSE TO BLOWING IT RIGHT THERE IN THE PILOT.
there's a conversation in like episode 3 where ward talks about how it sucks that a former colleague betrayed coulson, lying to his face the whole time

man, that was a great fucking movie
I need to see it again, I haven't since the theater

If Rottentomatoes had existed it would've had 99% audience rating on opening day.

It may look like a penis, but the tattoo looks like a sword, Hiyooo
Iron Man 3 is a really goddamn good film
It's still my favorite, just ahead of Winter Soldier
The part where he's stalling and bluffing the guards waiting for his suit to fly to him is pure gold too.
And if you watch the special features, there are dozens of outtakes of it, that was all RDJ improvising.
omg it's the best. season 1 wasn't so bad
He must be SO MAD
and apparently brett dalton didn't even know about ward until the episode where it happened
On Jimmy Olsen
So he made him an undercover CIA Agent who gets shot in the face
You're the worst, Burr
I love this so fucking much
I love you Michael Shannon
You're such a perfect villain and I'm so sorry that both of the superhero flicks you've done have sucked
But I need that press junket.
Honestly, rewatching season 1 has been really good for mostly that reason.
Also, it flows way better when there's not a week between each episode. I got to the midseason finale and went "holy shit already?"
and by then it's actually pretty good.
It's all Tits and Wookies

did he yell "THIS IS A DARK FUCKING PERIOD," because he should have
Failed gambit.
