I guess whatever process Bruce had to go through to become Batman again also kinda reset the years of physical and mental toll that being Batman took, so he's in the best shape of his life, but also has a fresher and cockier attitude, and is more of an inspiring figure
He even makes a couple of honest to god quips during fights

There was also a great scene they weren't able to make due to the Bat-embargo where the Joker is preparing to commit a crime, sees Batman talking to Wonder Pig, and just decides to give up and leave.
