This is a little odd. The movie isn't even officially out yet, but Yahoo apparently did an interview with the BvS cast (+Snyder) where they brought up all the bad reviews and got their response to it.
The interesting thing is Ben Afleck's reaction. He and Cavill are interviewed together, and Cavill gives a long 30-second PR spin on things while Afleck just stares at the floor the entire time, looking as if his soul is being drained out but knowing he still has to promote the movie. Once Cavill finishes talking, he simply says "I agree" and that's it.

I wonder if Affleck is just taking his paycheck for the time being, just waiting for his turn to actually make something good out of this trash

Ben looked so sad. He must be getting Daredevil flashbacks. I feel sorry for him. Amy Adams looks kind of sad too but she's probably just be tired.
Snyder is a hack. That "I'm making this for the comic fans" excuse is so bad. As if the well reviewed comic book movies weren't made for comic fans.

[Grumble, grumble... Daredevil show gets two seasons and rave reviews and I'm sitting here with this dude answering for this crap? Oh wait, everyone's looking at me. What did he just say? Probably just something about how bad the movie is...]

Today I had someone loudly talk about how awesome the Punisher is and then have a long conversation about how much Superman sucks and how jazzed one of them is to see Batman beat on Superman. Apparently he doesn't think Superman stands a chance despite complaining a moment ago about how OP Superman is.
The hilarious part to me however is that he couldn't get his friend to agree to go with him and apparently his girlfriend who "hates superman" wont go see it with him either because Aflak is "gay".

That is, in fact, the concept he (and many of the film's defenders) are going on. The good ol' inverse persecution complex you see whenever something that was once considered niche reaches mainstream popularity. Some people who are used to being outsiders let their identities get wrapped up in the fact that they aren't popular. They take what's meant to be a negative (ostracization) and spin it into a positive (being part of an exclusive club). Now that superhero movies have mass appeal, this subset of people feels "betrayed" that their once exclusive club is now being shared by those same people who they previously felt excluded from. Like this big important thing has been taken from them or co-opted. The fact that these movies are good are beside the point, comics are supposed to be just for them. So these movies, but not being appealing to the masses, are giving these people something to latch on to, something to once again prop them up and feel justified in being separate from the masses.
The actors aren't idiots, I'm sure if they've seen it they realise it's pretty bad. The studio will have given them a talking point.
I feel really bad for Affleck, because he cared about this a lot. Worse, he apparently did a great job. I've yet to see a review say anything bad about him.

This is such a hard thing to wrap my head around sometimes
I fucking needed some of these stories as a kid, the idea that anyone would be happy about closing them away from the world is so frustrating to me
These day's when i see a little kid with a Captain America shirt i get a little spring in my step, and it's at the point where i get a little nervous about the guy with the Joker memorabilia
And some of those stories i grew up on where DC stories and that makes me very sad that it went this way

"I agree"
I'm pretty proud of that reporter
They may never work in entertainment news again, but they fuckin' did what needed to be done
dogg, have you seen this movie?
I'm surprised the president hasn't had the secret service pick the cast and crew up so he can ask them exactly what they did wrong
He still might!
I liked 300 back in the day, and I remember liking Watchmen a lot but I haven't seen it in a few years. But other than that, not a fan.
Suckerpunch, the movie which is 100% Snyder, might be my least favorite movie of all time.
Dawn Of The Dead was pretty good.
Oh yes, please give us a proper Transformers/PotC level trashing Mark.
I recall his usual stylistic bullshit being mostly restrained there
Or maybe it just hadn't developed yet

With fans like these who needs haters?

I got talked into it by a friend who is also expecting it to be terrible, so there should at least be some good discussion there
Not gonna watch a movie about owls

Note the audience scores on the movie that's only been seen by critics.
Is Daredevil the better regarded Affleck superhero film then?
