They were/are (not sure if Dragons in Places is on it) part of Rooster Teeth's podcast network so presumably, they would be getting sponsors set up through them. I think its more likely the idea/opportunity to do the D&D podcast came along after they agreed to do the G Club and they decided 2 podcasts were too many and dropped G Club.
There was an article talking about roost network having a game grumps podcast, but neither G Club nor Dragons in Places are mentioned as being part of it on the roostnetwork site.

I mean, they announced the network, and that Game Grumps were part of it, and G club premiered like days or a week later. Might just be a lack of update, RT sites are like that sometimes. Took them a while to add some of the Let's Play groups as their own websites and then when the Creatures died their tab still existed for a bit after.
RT strikes me a company with a lot of fingers in different spots which causes them to lose focus sometimes
I dunno, they've been at this for longer than Game Grumps, vis-a-vis being a multimedia company. GG has only recently become that and I don't think Arin really has a grasp on how to delegate each GG property to be run.
Not saying that's untrue, I just meant in general there are a lot more shows, podcasts and other things being produced by RT so they seem to neglect their own site and even channels sometimes
They've gotten better over time but it's almost too much content to keep up with

Yeah, their content and stuff they're on top of, but the website and their app (especially the android app) are not always the most polished or up to date.
Yeah, having seen the first episode, I wasn't that into it. I'm not expected Harmonquest-level animation, but at least showing them play the game (assuming they're not doing it online,) would be nice. We could see the battle minis at least.
Also, it probably doesn't help with the characters having already met and starting a battle with some random mooks. Character mechanics aren't as excited as seeing the gang act in character in a roleplaying situation. That said, at least we got the general idea of Holly, Ross, and Barry's personality.
You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.

This year's Ghoul Grumps is probably some of the best stuff I've watched online in a while.
Which is less than zero.
They really don't give a fuck to anything anymore.
All people in valve do nowadays is count stacks of money and make shit for DOTA2 or something
The thing about G club is that since each episode is over an hour long and audio-only, its not something I'm going to be obsessively checking out every time. If the topic doesn't interest me I'll skip it entirely, and if the topic does interest me it'll probably end up as background noise while I do chores or when I'm on public transport. Except I already have a bunch of different shows I also use for that, so mostly it would just get thrown on the mental playlist and then I'd never get around to it.
I was also kind of disappointed with the lack of "polish" on Dragons in Places. I was under the impression that they'd been working on this for a while, so I was fully expecting for either the whole thing to be animated, or at least for certain scenes to be drawn. They've got some sound effects going for them, which is nice, but if I'm going to sit and watch something like this I need more going on visually than a static image of the party. Otherwise its going on the above mental playlist.

The least they could do is what TFS does and at least show us the players. Maybe get an overhang camera and if they're using models focus on that. If it's on roll20, which I don't think it is, show us the screen of a player. If they focus on someone (like it's their turn) give us those players condensed statlines and equipment maybe.
Most of the Halloween videos they've made this year are as safe for work as game grumps always is (which is to say not very). The closest to actually, sexually NSFW is the clicker game, which has some cleavage going on.

Arin - "How about some adversity!? I want an adventure not a sweet time horseback ride hugging some handsome dude!"
Jared - "...Arin, make a perception check."
Ross - "Don't fuck with the DM dude."
The animations were nice, for me it wasn't a memorable or notable conversation to animate.

Hey guys, you know how albums can go on sale on YouTube? Can someone double check something for me? Search for Under the Covers, see if YouTube is requiring its purchase. Then do the same for Under the Covers 2. I never bought the latter, but apparently I have access to it?

How do these games make it to Steam?

Hopefully, the one with Brian and Audrey (it's his daughter!) counts.
I'm watching this now it's pretty great.

Question the first:
Did you guys see the new Game Grumps animated?
Steam: pazython
That's not one of the questions by the way
