In galaxy, you're a cursor for the star bit shooting. In Odyssey, you can fly all around as Cappy, ground-pound enemies and Mario, and force double-jumps or enemy captures.
Edit: You know, Forces looks really dumb, but the charming and entertaining kind of dumb. Granted they played the one level, made the awesome dead-eyed OC, and had the one cutscene. Still, It looks like something I could pick up when it's on sale.
Also, I can't stop cracking up at that thing I spoiler'd. Danny makes those jokes all the time, but this one has really hit my funny bone I guess.

Finally got around to listening to the whole of the latest Guest Grumps with Rob and Patricia Schneider. Patricia was a delight and seemed more comfortable with how the show goes and such this time around. Rob confounds me, because when I see him in public or in interviews he's making some shitty political statement or another. But on Game Grumps he's fine. He leaned into the critical (to put it nicely) views on him but thankfully he didn't stay on it for longer than a couple seconds.
The existential discussion stuff I agree with Patricia on. Yeah we could all get caught up on "what does it mean" but we have practical things to worry about and affect here in our lives. Wear a seatbelt.
Well that's because the news/entertainment industry wants you to see these controversial opinions for ratings. I'm assuming right before the camera begins rolling they ask him his opinion on whatever topic will net them the most views.
He's generally a side character in the movies he's in so there's not much to interview him about. Even though I find his anti-vaxx views horrible, I am glad that he isn't a complete idiot and a jerk. Just... Misinformed.
I couldn't finish the new Guest Grumps with the Schneiders. It's just kinda boring, and Rob doesn't really say anything interesting. Patricia is at least into the games they play. Maybe they should just have Patricia come on there solo, but she gets too into the games and doesn't say much.

Hoooooooooly shit, NSP's latest album kicked a lot of ass on the Billboard. Reminder that they don't get old-media attention at all.
You know you're fucked when Knuckles is the commander of your resistance.
Knuckles: "Hey guys, I just got a message from Eggman, it turns out that Sonic was the one behind this war! Dang, I should have known it was okay to trust Eggman."
Well with Sonic MIA, Tails just missing, and Shadow apparently a traitor, options kind of dwindle.
I would've appointed Rouge as commander before Knuckles, though.
Or bring Sally out of continuity cold storage. She knows how to deal with basically this exact situation
Lol putting "True Neutral Presidential Assassin" Shadow the Hedgehog in charge would have to be objectively a worse choice. The best choice is Blaze I would think.
As someone who has played and DMed a lot of D&D, early on a party and players are much more fascinated by combat but once you settle into your characters there can be very little fighting while people just rp and riff on each other.
Watched the three episodes of Dragons in Places out so far. I'm really annoyed that very few of them have ANY IDEA what their sheet means, 3 sessions in. Holly couldn't have talked them through it before the podcast? This is Arin's "doesn't pay attention to instructions" to a new level. Also unimpressed with the "baby's first D&D joke" nature of constantly asking about strippers and drugs. There is some potential there (I'd like to know more about Ross' bizarre character) and I'd like Jared to be more active in making things interesting for the party. Haven't quit yet, but would not recommend so far.
Eh, i've had fun listening to it and they are having fun.
Different strokes
That's my issue with it, I worry that the bad jokes (specifically the ha ha let's go to a strip club and do drugs shit) and the not having any idea on basic stuff like the difference between a "to hit" roll and a "calculate damage" roll is down to interest. Or more precisely, a lack thereof. In the first Acq Inc, many of the guys don't know how to play, but Perkins teaches them as they go. Jared is either not doing that or doing it poorly. The fact that on the third episode (these are A WEEK apart) more than one person is still confused about the importance of the D20 is scary bad. The game has been 90% combat so far! How could they NOT know unless they don't put any thought in until the second they start recording and get very bored during?
And that was a lot negative I know. I hope it becomes great, I love good D&D shows.
To be a bit more positive, Sonic Forces is an A+ game for their show. Hilarious and over the top with many avenues to get jokes going, while easy enough Arin doesn't get lost and fail to progress.
I grew up in a house where
D&D was viewed as 'devil worship' type stuff and never got to get into it as a young person.
So their difficulty figuring everything out makes sense to me since it is a pretty complicated affair for noobs. I think they will get the hang of the systems but expecting the grumps not to go for that sophomoric humor may be asking too much
Oh I'm sure it's fine, but I feel like they went out of control with everything. "GIVE SONIC CHARACTERS GUNS AND EXPLOSIONS AND LARGE ROBOTS AND EVERYTHING IS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND DO THIS WITH" which I guess is the Sonic series in a nutshell. I feel like it's one of those overproduced Hollywood movies. If you can turn your brain off then you can really enjoy it. I just can't seem to get over how everything is in your face. There's no subtlety.

Could be fun for some shenanigans.

And is also surprised at the voices they were given
You know it's more fun when Arin plays the bad Sonic games!

(Sonic Mania isn't very good, though).
Yeah you don't even get a gun in that game

Good for them
"All of this is horrible Vector, that's why it's called WAR." - Knuckles the Echidna
Game of the Year 2017 right here.

"Buy all the slide guitars you can find and detune the hell out of them. "
I wish, though, that there was more roleplaying and less fighting. Improv is where the Game Grumps shine, after all.

I had a lot of fun with it, though some of the platforming levels are a bit wonky. Didn't like the final boss either, but it was good dumb fun.
That’s why it’s called war
I am really enjoying the DnD episodes though.
