Hello everyone. I hope all of you are doing well. With Pax Dev tickets lice and Pax west tickets on their way, I thought I'd do a quick post.
Last year I was part of the pax lonely hearts group. This meant that I attended pax by myself. A group chat was set up and most people got together to talk about what they had seen, eat, and do some fun activities with one another. I think most people had fun and I know I sure did.
I was not the one to set up this massive chat group. However, this year I've decided to take the first few steps to set one up for this year. I know twitter is used quite a bit, but there is no easy way to use that for group chats. Plus you're limited in your number of characters. Last year, everyone decided to use whatsapp. This time, I'm planning on using a great big Facebook message. Any thoughts or ideas about what to use would be great. I will pm my Facebook name(to those interested) if we decide to use that option closer to the time of Pax west. Please also remember thathat, while last year focused on people going to Pax solo, I'm hoping to widen the gates to everyone this time around as not everyone has the same tastes when it comes to games. Hanging out with like minded people should result in more friends being made.
Remember, even though most of us are introverts, pax is one of the times when it's okay to share your nerdom with others and be extroverted about the things we all care about.

Our first test of the local web will be at PAX this year. There is a dozen other potential PAX usages here. http://1000ways.org/tag/pax/
I'm one of the co-founders of the local web so I am happy to explain anything.
