    sigh.

Seeing alien guy vs mentally unstable guy tomorrow.

    i'm gonna be disappointed.

I'm hoping to go see orphan battle tomorrow, Monday at the latest.
I'm expecting to be mildly entertained, and if not at least I'll have popcorn.

there's a lot of people saying

"Ben Affleck was good, the parts with Batman were good except where he murders people"

and i remember that Ben Affleck's buddy Chris Terrio was brought in later in the production to rework the script

and that Affleck was given a little bit more control

it makes me think the only good parts of that shitshow, the only parts worth praising, are because of Affleck and Terrio trying desperately to polish a turd

everything else, everything that was Snyder and The Goyer, is the resultant garbage heap

it makes me feel sad for Ben Affleck

he legit is a fan of comics and wants to be in a good superhero movie, that Daredevil sucked really upset him a lot

as opposed to Jesse "Yeah I don't really read comics" Eisenberg for example

I'm feeling incredibly down on myself right now. What do people usually do to get out of this kind of funk?

I think it's mostly a lack of energy.

This remains the most faithful Dr. Doom in a movie.

sweet appalachian moonshine vapors, I do believe your sister may end up marrying into a mountain clan

The one story I have heard about them is when they wandered away at age 4 or something and everyone had to go out looking for them along the <something> tracks. And I was like "whats a <something> track"

And its apparently the track that the truck that picks up felled trees rides on. Its the part of Maine that still primarily exists to cut down trees

I don't really care whether Eisenberg reads comics or not and I rarely get mad at actors for bad performances. I think the buck ultimately always stops with the director. If a performance isn't working it's their job to work with the actor and make it work. Or find a replacement, like Peter Jackson did when the person they hired for Aragorn wasn't working.

the thing that creeps me out about eisenberg is that i don't think he's acting at all.

that's just him being a kind of weird dude who is also the dude he is in real life.

So there's a headline on reddit that reads "Birth Control Pills Linked to Fewer Severe Knee Injuries in Teen Girls".

It goes on to elaborate that the hormone changes likely help them be less likely to suffer ACL injuries

But I would be lying if I said I didn't initially come to a much different conclusion from that headline.
