Although I guess it'll have the trade-off where if you use the Satchel to kill a tower, you won't have it to escape when the gank squad shows up on your ass.
Also apparently Rumble's Q is getting buffed so that it does normal damage to minions?
EDIT: Most importantly, Taric's supposed to be coming in the next patch, they're aiming for Tues/Wednesday next week unless it gets delayed for some reason.
Rumble has one of the lowest winrates in the game right now--he and Olaf were the only champions with sub-45% winrates in their main roles in plat+ play, last time I checked.
Huh. So apparently Ziggs is getting a special effect added to his Satchel where if hits a tower under a certain threshold of health (25% in testing), it'll just demolish it.
Hearing things like this just makes me think that the mage update is going to be another clusterfuck like the ADC and Juggernaut updates were.
Of course it will.
It's just impossible to see how this plays out until you get it in the population and see the broken shit happening.
I would be happy for it to turn out like the Juggernaut or Marksman update, because in the end I think that both of those are making a more interesting and fun game.
Even if the juggernaut update is responsible for the fact that it's getting harder on ADCs these days. (why does everyone have all the health and armor?)

Thanks a lot man, that was super insightful. I guess I'll do the Valkrin clear for a fast level 6 unless top or bot is overpushed. I am running AD/Arpen reds and quints, but probably going to move to scaling Armor yellows. What is your take on Stormraider's instead of TLD?
I think a speed boost isn't as useful as a dead target, and Rengar really needs that kill since he has very little follow-up.
Maybe try it against slow heavy teams? It's usually hard CC that ruins Rengar, so I'm inclined to add a bit or burst to make him better at what he wants to do.
My guess is that raiders is better late game for hilarious megaspeed bush hopping but you need the TL burst to get the early kills that get you moving.
I just love that the Mage update is apparently going to include yet another Ryze rework. Hopefully they realize that taking away his b-balls was a terrible mistake.
It's something that's just in testing (and hopefully stays that way because what the fuck that sounds dumb). They said they want to make him less of a one yordle waveclearing machine, and they hate how badly he can stall out games with his ult as well to clear a second lane. They also want to make him riskier to play by making it more rewarding to get up close and do daring stuff. So who knows, maybe there's a big tradeoff elsewhere in the kit to allow him to do that. Meddler went on to say that it's too high of a threshold and that 10-15% might be a good spot but at the same time if it's too low it's too useless.
"6.9 should include the changes to mage kits, the AP item changes, modifications to dragon and the dragon buffs, a revised Rift Herald buff, towers that ramp in damage on subsequent shots a bit quicker, stronger Red/Blue Buff (late game especially) and a few other bits and pieces."

Yeah that's gonna break the hell out of the game for a while.

It's the mid-season change. I'm sure it will settle down by summer split.
I think they already havea schedule - after championships, break the game completely. make major changes up until spring split start. between spring/summer splits, break the game again, but not as completely as between seasons.
Almost. It's "buff Corki right before worlds" but other than that
And let's not even get into just how dumb Corki is right now. Good lord an AD with 70% magic damage is just unfair. A normal tank with SV will have 150 MR if they have scaling MR in masteries. They will have 150 Armor with a chain vest at the same point and armor pen barely works anymore.
Time on the clock 21:16. Top Vayne picks up a quadra kill and tumbles towards the enemy base with one hit left to kill trundle for a Penta... The projectile is in the air

I know it came at the cost of Dominion, but I have to commend Riot on the rotating special game mode. I know Poro King was not too long ago already, but its back again this weekend, and it remains a bunch of fun.
I love that I can gain champion mastery there, but I'm confused why I'm still not gaining it on normal ARAM.
@Hiryu02 I'm still planning on showing up on Sunday, but I've got to go into work before hand. I'm leaving early on Wed to head to PAX!.
As is my tradition, I will do my best to get extra skin codes (assuming they're handing them out again) to distribute.
Ok, so apparently I was overcomplicating the combo on rengar by frantically rightclicking and cancelling/moving away from targets.
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
I really feel like FNC is trying to let Febiven be a hometown hero and it's costing them.

When you lose a 4v5 as the 5 because your adc and mid are fething irrelevant and have no meaningful contributions to the game. The Yasuo rule always applies. Amazing on the enemy team, steaming garbage on my team.

Q: Why do I accept every friend invite from league strangers? Haven't I learned from the mistake of others?
A: So I can watch in awe as my friend-stranger I queued with instalock Shaco and demands mid after everyone called their roles, becomes my "support" Shaco - spoiler he tries to steal the farm, and starts flaming after I forgot to blow my heal to save his life. All while feeding relentlessly and overall playing like the worst Shaco I've ever seen, even going back to five years ago.
The usual, really.
But in the end it's all fine. Because it's a Shaco being bad, because the rest of my team had my back, and obviously because I won and carried despite Shaco's efforts. I'm going to miss Jhin once the new rotation comes out.
I keep getting in games where people go "They banned all the champs I can play in this position! I need to swap with someone!" oh you can only play 2 champs top? Really? only 2?
Managed to win 3 out of 5 games as Rengar tonight. He is very challenging to play, which is exacerbated by my terrible bola aim. Would it be super dumb to build a Frozen Mallet or IBG on him just so I can at least slow whenever I do get a leap attack off?
Huh. Champion.gg says to build Ghostblade, PD, Shiv and IE on him. That sounds super squishy.

If you get ahead on rengar and build offense, you can 100-to-0 any squishy by yourself in approximately half a second, but you really have to know what you're doing. If you want to build tank I would probably recommend a dead man's plate rather than a mallet or IBG, but I don't think he's very good as a full tank (though I could be wrong in this meta).
The ghostblade specifically is hecka good though because it makes it extremely difficult for anyone to escape your ult.

i was playing some shen with a friend earlier and managed to pull off the taunt+flash trick for the first time
it was flawless
it was also during the middle of a teamfight and i actually wanted to flash+taunt instead
yes, it got my team killed
yes, i have brought considerable haji down upon my clan

PD + Red Smite means you can be very durable in a 1v1 fight (both abilities reduce incoming damage from one enemy champion). Since Rengar relies on autoattack burst, the crit is not bad on him (the attack speed is kind of wasted, but its not completely worthless). Regardless, take any Champion.gg suggested builds with a grain of salt, particularly on champions that don't see a ton of play.
Don't build IBG or Frozen Mallet on Rengar, that's almost 3000 gold spent on "I hope they don't walk away from me." Doesn't protect you from hard CC, doesn't protect you from knockback, doesn't help you 1v1. Ghostblade + Merc Scimitar should let you stay on top of most targets, and if that's not enough you either A: shouldn't be playing Rengar against a team with that much CC to disengage or B: picked a bad time to jump into the fray.
Remember that Rengar isn't the fight initiator. You can start fights during laning phase, but only if you are certain that your team will win (enemy jungler is accounted for and you use your ult to start a 3v2 on bot, for example). Rengar wants to jump on somebody when they're not able to fight back, either because they need to retreat from a bad fight or they're otherwise distracted or out of position. If you're regularly finding that targets can escape you with ease, work on your timing and positioning. You can't ult into an enemy team late game to start a fight the same way Amumu or Vi can, and it can be tricky learning to switch from "I'm level 6 and jumping on mid lane hahaha" to "I'm level 15 and I need to wait for someone else to make a good initiate."
I want to say that I do understand the correct way to teamfight with Rengar, but I probably don't execute correctly. I basically try to play him like Evelynn, picking off stragglers and looking to flank. I do see that he's not an initiator and I definitely lost games because our teamcomp didn't have a good initiate, or because we didn't have tanks in the frontline.
I think that I do need to land bolas consistently because there are a lot of good leaps that I am able to setup, but I am not able to seal the kill due to bad bola/fero management. That's an mechanical challenge and I just have to practice. Also using item actives like Ghosblade is still not a regular part of my combos and it should be.
Thanks again for the tips.

One thing to think about when looking at "high win rate builds" is that there exists a very real "already winning bias" there.
It sounds obvious, but if you're already ahead, you're more likely to win. So if there are builds which people tend to build when ahead this doesn't indicate the build is necessarily strong, it only indicates that they're fed and so they can build like they're fed. It might legit be the best build for being fed, but it probably isn't the best build for being behind. That is, there are some things that you can do when you're ahead that you cannot do when you're behind and this changes the optimal build path and this changes what a "high win rate" means.
Should you build offense when you're ahead? Maybe. Should you build offense when you're behind? Absolutely not*.
Ghostblade will let you close with people the same as FMallet. Its got 20% move speed on its active. So very little reason for Fmallet on Rengar
*Ok there are actually times to do this, but generally it means you're banking on a low probability play
I didn't realize mantra e was so strong. by the end of the game it was shielding for nearly 800 on the primary target, plus half that for everyone else, plus my locket shield. Meant I could cockblock katarina very effectively.

Of course whenever Lee Sin is on the other team he's an actual smurf and shits all over your poor bronze top and botlane. And he lives in my jungle and I can't do anything as Rengar except die.
