Even Hololens is planning for the computer bit to be kept in a pocket and connected to the goggles by a wire... but this looks like the processor (or maybe battery?) is the counterweight in the back of the headset? Won't that get uncomfortably warm pretty quickly? I think John Carmack wrote about thermal management in mobile VR being a pretty serious issue.
VR is really exciting right now, but it's also so all over the place that developing for any one device is a waste of time by itself. So my money's on cross-compile game engines for now.
That reminded me to look up when the new iPhone is being announced, it's time for me to upgrade in January. Supposedly the conference is September 7th, same day Sony's gonna unveil the Neo
i.e. The day formal announcements are made to destroy my wallet, apparently
I cancelled my preorder cause I can't afford it, but I'm still getting a few of the launch games since they're not VR-only
Cannot wait for Robot Golf or Thumper
I'm sure Rez Infinite is awesome, but I've played Rez before
The only thing I'm truly missing is Superhypercube

Rez Infinite is definitely one of the key selling points right now
Also while nobody has it listed, the Darknet devs told me they plan to release on PSVR, hopefully sooner rather than later, because that game looked pretty neat
Giant bomb is showing off what they say is a very regular tracking issue that causes the entire screen to constantly be in motion and it kinda ruins PS VR as a whole

For some reason I assumed it would only get a digital release, I'll definitely pick up a disc
it's just a prototype but
man that looks something I would never want to wear

is his revolution in the company's culture "no longer making interesting things or paying taxes"
how fucking embarrassing must that have been for all the staff working on it
like he's all excited and they're like "yeah Tim your Surface Pro is really good I'm updating my LinkedIn on it right now"

Playstation VR launches two weeks from today
Giant Bomb will be having a lengthy PlayStation VR launch stream starting in 30 minutes
They're coming in at 5 AM their time just to stream this stuff?
I'm looking forward to hearing all the PSVR impressions today
Can't believe it's just a week away
Looking forward to seeing what is actually going to be available immediately for this expensive thing I preordered
Like, Battlezone is on the store! I want that game! But there's no price on it despite it being a week away
Rez Infinite is $30 and Arkham VR is $20 so I'm definitely grabbing those

Kotaku's review is kinda "eh we're not convinced"
Other places are also mentioning the jitter. It it not a calibration error on their part.
bluuurgh
man I was really hoping one of these things would just be solid
this seems like fun
This is quickly unselling me on my pre-order
