While I personally have no interest in Resurgence, I am happy Toho is getting weird and experimental with Big G. They don't have the budget to compete with Legendary's Godzilla in terms of effects driven monster fights so trying weird takes on him is a way more interesting path to go down

I would if it was just, like, a horror take on him

But I kind of hate Evangelion a whooooole bunch and also am super grossed/creeped out by Resurgence Godzilla (which means they did their job well I suppose) so unless I hear shockingly good things I will probably take a pass and wait for Godzilla 2 or whatever Toho does next

I have no idea what Evangelion is.

But if it's super weird and waxes philosophical in garbage ways while having a godzilla that looks like someone put a googly eye on jerky?

I'm so god dang down for it.

Does it still have tons and tons of plodding philosophizing

Cause that is one of my biggest pet peeves

If it is more weird skinny mech fights than yeah alright I would give it a shot

What as that video in the last thread that showed phantom menace with scenes from other films that looked like it? The trade federation landing scene was repeated in clone wars episodes and its been driving me nuts.

I've also got a theory for the Suicide Squad movie that might fit the mission antagonist or someone like it.
    I'm serious
Remember Dark Heart from JLU? I'm thinking its either that construct or something like it in the comics that I'm not familiar with and was created on earth.

It could be alien tech, or it could not be.

Do you mean the one with the landing ships that looked pretty much like the Nausicaa and the Valley of the Winds?

Bingo! Thank you! I thought the landing ships were a stretch, but the tanks were spot on. Separatists verses night sisters was an interesting episode.

So, on the topic of movies, and though I'm sure this has been posted in other movie threads, I just want to let everyone know how stoked I am for this.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9cx3nJnndM

Even though I have no idea when it's coming out in Japan, or subsequently making its way to the states. If anyone has any information I and a bunch of friends would love to know details on release dates.

Thats pretty much what it is, yeah.

No time for bad philosophy in a two hour movie.

I guess it depends whether Hideaki Anno falls into another state of depression while directing it, because you need to keep in mind the the dude also directed Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water and a live-action Cutie Honey, of all things.

Taking over a Twitter is some shit that the Joker absolutely would not bother with.

Fuckin Captain Boomerang wouldn't bother with that shit.

My Art Appreciation professor had us watch Midnight in Paris during class today and it wasn't an April Fool's joke.

Even worse, she showed it from an overhead projector that forced a 4:3 aspect ratio and gave the whole film this weird fisheye lens effect and left me with a headache.
