    Does anyone know anything about Android emulators re: legally getting an app like Miitomo up and running? My phone's too old for it so I'd like to emulate it on my PC if there's a way to do that legally.

    Android emulators are totally legal. Mainly for development purposes but should probably be able to run Miitomo in one no problem I'd think.

    Look up BlueStacks! Very well known and popular. I was going to try it myself sometime here.

    Yeah, I got a miniskirt while playing Miitomo drop trying to get the shoulder kitten. I kinda wish they had made them tradeable or gender swappable (option during color selection for skirt to be shorts/kilt).

    I wish there were more (non-social-media) ways to add friends. Maybe I'm just an old man like that. Anyway, I made a twitter for my mii. Time to explore the app more.

    It's in the shop menu. The food/flower/cat sets are miidrop items.

    Tap on shop, then scroll down. You can spend game tickets or coins to try to win various clothing items.

    I might have put a few bucks in to get a cat sweater. Got real lucky with the cat companion, but I have no idea how.

    Weirdly, I think the different Miis you drop have different physics. Folks wearing big hats seem to drop head down really fast and stay where they hit if it's a flat surface. Lots of momentum though.

    There are about 80 backgrounds to choose from by default, also you can import a background from your device, so anything in your photo roll is fair game.

    If you have lots of real-life friends, you don't need any social media. Just physical proximity. Otherwise, it grabs friends from Facebook and Twitter.

    On the upside, this means that there are no friend codes, finally!

    Yeah, you don't need twitter or Facebook, but considering Facebook is more personal for me I figure twitter is easier. I had already set one up with my nickname for another game I don't play anymore.
