    Good for Malachi, all he wanted was to share books with people and he got told off way too late by someone he just wanted to be friends with. He didn't steal the lamp and he has no real reason to give it back.

    @scuddles how about him turning the library into a nightclub (which he took advantage of Linus' trust to do in the first place), without taking the necessary precautions to preserve the sanctity of it was the only reason the rest of the campers actually knew about the lamp in the first place?

    Linus notices the lamp is missing. He shrugs his shoulders, goes to his secret stash of lanterns and lantern oil, gets a new lantern, and all is right with the world.

    Or the mess hall burns down. Or both.

    Real question here; is he really going to do the party or is he going to trick everyone else to get back into Linus's good side? Remember, Linus seems to be something of a local hero for the kid and he loves books. Being banished from the library is not something he'd like.

    Malachi is either going to steal the lantern and give it to Linus, or will actually party and this will cause so much commotion that the mess hall will burn down. Lets hope that the mess hall burns, It would suck for the campers, but would hopefully bring them together. I want to see everyone together again.

    First time lookin' for a cat while I've been all caught up with the comic as opposed to going back through the archives to spot 'em. Kind of a relief to have the challenge on this side of things. :-) Also: I can think of three or four things for Malachi to be planning/not planning here, and I'm trying to figure out which one I want to read the most.
