Media Player Volume issue

I experience a strange phenomena when watching long files in media player 11 - whatever I'm watching gets steadily quieter. About 15 minutes into something, it will be nearly inaudible. If I jog the progress bar chiclet, the file returns to full volume. Is this normal?

No, I can't say I've heard of this before. Sorry, no particular tips on what to investigate.

I am necroing this - since updates in the interim between the OP and now, I no longer lose volume over time, but moving the slider bar at all now sets my speaker output to full volume. Well, it doesn't actually SET it.

Say my volume is set to 35. I move the horizontal progress bar, because I don't really want to hear Joe Rogan talk about how both fighters have good jiujitsu or whatever, now my speakers are BLASTING at 100%, but my volume is still set to 35. If I jog the volume one notch in either direction, it dies back down.

    Anyone?

I'm bumping this because it's still plaguing me and I can't find ANYONE with the problem via google or anything.

Holy shit I can't even remember replying to this thread.

What have you done to try and fix it in terms of new drivers/software/OS reinstall?

I haven't done any of those things "to try and fix it" but I've done all three since the prob. manifested.

That sounds like some kind of hardware issue, then. Unless you've replaced that, too.
