PS Relm 2 is back to the old 5* drop rate with the Valiant knife removed, be warned, stick to FFT if you want the boosted knife chance
Another FYI for Ultros: If you're going to be flaming and zapping him, he will counter with Firaga/Thundaga 100%. And with Shell and Magic Breakdown, it was still doing about 1k a hit. I was able to deal with it pretty well with some high regen, but it's something to keep in mind. And it's only the first Ultros that'll do this. Second one won't counter at all.

Yeah. I had to power through him with Shout and physical attacks (note: Fire Strike and the like will also trigger the counterattack), but then I torched him in the second round easily.
By the way, holy crap that new Celes weapon. Guess Runic Blade is just completely obsolete now, even on Celes herself.

Is Relm 1 staying with the Valiant Knife? I get 50 mythril again in a few days and I'm thinking I might just #fuck it since great FF6 medica, 2 8x SSBs and a useful SB for a machinist are still great and I totally won't get Strago's terrible mace again right.
And Wrexsoul down (what is he even doing in a banner containing the Arrowny family and Celes?)
Blizzard spells and Blizzara strikes made short work of him. Kind of hilarious that Record Keeper is all "yes, you can kill the soul savers, but that makes Wrexsoul super strong", when that is completely the opposite of how that fight goes in VI.
Note to self, though. Runic Blade is a nice Soul Break, but it's more of a Mako Might Soul Break. I finally built up a charge just in time for Wrexsoul to die.
Man, I need to grind out Tyro's second and third Record Materia. I need Professor Mog's Teachings.
So, Hidon is next. Anyone know which Erebuses are resistant to what elements? I'm considering bringing Summons that can kill all but one Erebus, so I can minimize their damage and avoid Grand Delta. I suppose I can just look up the fight in VI to find out.

Also, I did the same mistake @A Steak! did. Brought Saint's Cross and Chardanook demon form will always evade physical. My only offensive magic user was Terra, but there's no way I was going to deal with that shit, so I had to bail. One more hour for another retry at least.

No Wall. First turn was set up, before Edgar pushed it into Demon Form. Relm attacked to expose it and from there it was just burning it down. It changed to Goddess form once, but timed it right with Edgar to pull it back into Demon. At 50% it stops switching forms, so you're set. Bolt Ring/Coral Ring/Bolt Armlet to mitigate all the lightning damage. Edgar had Draw Fire to mitigate not running Protectga or Wall.

He uses Fury at the start of the fight to possess you. Then you use X-Zone.
The soul savers are now dead, and Wrexsoul is offscreen. No enemies exist! You win!
I think the Soul Savers were supposed to be placeholder enemies that you can't ever kill (they revive when you do), so that Wrexsoul's possession gimmick could function. They didn't count on you banishing them both and denying their revival "counterattack" with X-Zone.
Thing is, you don't get the Guard Bracelet Wrexsoul drops if you do that.

Kongbakpao is very wrong on its listing for Wrexsoul. He has a ridiculous Physical attack all doing 1800 to everyone, and he has an AOE thundaga with both soul savers up. Carbuncle is worthless. Can't see how it would get much worse killing them.

Hmm apparently Wrexsoul still does Fury when the soulsavers are dead. I don't think Kongbakpao has been more wrong before.
+: Make sure to bring Blind Shot
++: Carbuncle helped a bit but wasnt necessary. once he possessed someone I just burned down the souls really fast and he will pop back out. then it was pretty trivial to finish. Had to S/L a BUNCH due to bad starts and having dead people before I could do anything.
+++: Draw Fire/Retaliate and Shellga. Then ignore the Erebii and just target the boss healing a bit when needed. Drawtaliate will take care of 90% of the incoming damage. couple of magic spells otherwise to deal with, but nothing some spot healing cant take care of.

Retreated from ++ couldn't take it. First time I retreated from a ++. Given that metric I'm slowly getting worse. Last retreat was a +++ and before that Ultimate. Soon I'll be unable to complete the difficulty 5 stage.

Did a 100 gem and a 3 pull and got nothing worth mentioning.
On the plus side, Valiant Strike was super great against the boss rush, and I don't even have him at 65 yet.

Yes. You'll hit cap once it's popped.
If not, you can run Self Sacrifice/Dragoon's Determination/Rebel Might.
