I had rinoa in with carbuncle and shiva, but I swapped her out for my second attempt.
Gilgamesh with Lifesiphon, Drain Leap, Best Buddies SSB
Lenna with Curaga Shellga Princess Favor
Tyro with Blindga Blizzaga SG
Ramza with Full Break and Tempo Flurry and Throw Stone
Agrias with Blizzaga Strikes and Cleansing Thing.
You're taking too much magic damage because you're not fully breaking down Wrexsoul's Magic.
Urrrk, I totally forgot that Drawtaliate existed... probably made the +++ fight harder than it should have been.
I use Fat Chocobo R2 on Terra to take care of two of the adds plus deal double capped damage against the big boss. Focused fire on the Erebus #4 (the one with Regen on it) to eliminate it since that was the one with Confuse Claw and ignored the last one which isn't vulnerable to Earth (only has the weak claw)
Fire/Holy burnination to finish it.
RW shout and I fully exploited Agrias + my Tailwind on Ramza to bring Shellga + Protectga without sacrificing a second ability slot on Yuna so she could bring Diaga.
Have to wait another 2 hours or so to do the ultimate fight, but I feel like I've got a good comp going in and good enough RS for stat boosts. Heck, I have more stats in this fight than I did for the FFT ultimate.
Honed Full Break to R2 for this fight, and I dumped a hefty amount of growth eggs into Celes so she can replace Lightning for this encounter as Crushing Blow is worthless and the extra res via the SB would be nice. Pity Celes can't use Lifesiphon...
Cheddarmook down. Easy peasy with two medicas, wall, double stacking Divine Guardian with Shell, and having ridiculously great RS coverage for FFVI. Next week's going to be much rougher. Only real issue was forgetting to refresh SG for like, 3 turns. Was funny watching his Thundagas do around 300 damage when all mitigation was up though. I should have started using Drill sooner for the Def bonus since its multi attacks hurt without much physical mitigation. I'm going to assume that's why its Counter Drains were doing 1500+ too.
Technically, Tyro did die once because it Counter Drained him twice in a row (that it even can counter twice seems wrong) after one of the rains, but Ghostface was at around 5% life, Tyro had reraise on from Pulse of Life, and Aerith was in the middle of casting another one, but it got drilled to death before she could. Lost one medal to damage.
Used a different party from what I posted earlier and forgot to hone Saint Cross past R1. Oops.

Just remeber that on Demon's fifth turn, it turns back into Goddess. Don't want to queue up an attack and get a nasty counter. Otherwise it's a simple Ultimate.
I was actually contemplating putting Diara on Terra so she has Holy damage as well, which will mean I have three sources of holy damage to take down the shift back into Goddess. However doing the napkin maths, Terra's 270 Mind isn't enough to make Diara do more damage than a 490 MAG Firaga even with vulnerabilities and Attunement. I'll be using a +Mag RM anyhow to clock up as much damage on Firaja/ga as possible, even though I'm fairly confident I'll be clocking 9999s on the ajas regardless. Plus more mag means the Magitek Missiles will do more damage for the final sprint to the finish line.
So, I forgot that the ultimate fight absorbed lightning damage. The 30k I healed him with Crushing Blow made me a saaaad panda.
Still beat it though, just took a lot longer since I had no real SSB level damage. Without Shout I'd have been totally toast.

Boss was hitting for ~150 with everything up, but he almost killed me a couple times in the middle when refreshes got weird with him phasing in and out. Double Hastega was weird, but it ended up really helping in the early game and let me cast a Tailwind in the middle without dropping haste. +50% res from DG was also helpful.
Does Chadarnook Ultimate have much physical damage to speak of? Gotta figure out if I want to bring Cecil (for the use of Protectga) or Steiner (for Fira Strike). Either one will have Saint Cross (which I will not be using until after I've used Flower of Trabia to do the swap and guard pierce)...
Wait, didn't someone say that both forms of Chadarnook Ultimate share a health bar? Perhaps I can hit the goddess with Saint Cross for damage, and then use Flower of Trabia on the demon?

If you're bringing wall, his physical attacks hit for a couple hundred w/ full break+wall up. Not that bad, the AoE hurts a lot unmitigated though.

I was getting hit for about 200-400 a pop, depending on who he targeted. The problem is that he can attack four times in one go, which he seemed to do constantly, plus all that magic AoE, plus Counter Drains all over, plus inflicting sap for me at a very inopportune time (right after I refreshed Divine Guardian). It's not a lot of damage from any one attack, but it can add up pretty fast when the RNG decides to be cruel.
Alright, then. I brought Cecil and a SG RW. Hopefully, that'll be what I need. If I fail super hard, I'll come back to it with a Divine Guardian RW.
I feel so vulnerable using Selphie without Mako Might, though. We'll see how it goes when my stamina recharges.
Current team is:
Cloud: Fira Strike/Lifesiphon | Fenrir Overdrive | Ace Striker
Setzer: Full Break/Magic breakdown | Dive Bomb | Thief's Code
Cecil: Saint Cross/Protectga | Rampart | Attunement II
Selphie: Curaga/Shellga | Trabia's Light | Flower of Trabia
Terra: Firaja/Firaga | N/A (he absorbs the Water damage I'd do with Trance Flood, and Trance Attack is always a wasted turn) | Devotion

Chardanook wasn't so bad. Honed Saints Cross to R2 for this fight. Probably won't go higher than that though. 4 uses plus some other ability should be enough.
So my plan for Wrexsoul was to just use HotE at my RW, but I saw that one of my choices was a Valiant Strike with 556 ATK. I didn't even get to use any of my own soulbreaks before he went down. Took a couple of restarts to get all my defenses up in time, but that was hilarious.
Hidon was pretty simple. Got my defenses up and him broken with HotE and just ripped him apart.
Ultimate downed. A bit tougher than I expected since I wasn't doing as much damage as I wanted.
Having another strong physical attacker (if I even had one... which I don't have the weapons for them even if I did) would probably have been better because Terra was only hitting around 7k on her -ajas with 490 MAG. I'm getting close to the point where I probably want to start working on multiple ajas and phase out the agas entirely.... And I probably should have brought Alexander because 4 hits with aja level holy would have done more damage than 8 pissy weak firagas
Celes was hitting around 5ks, Agrias with clocking around 6ks on each of the Saint's Cross hits so that was the real life saver in the end.
So, I got my main crew to low 40's, and I plan on pumping them as far as possible with any eggs on the last day of the FFT dungeons, so that I can attempt the lvl 50 Agrias unlock.
Cloud - Double strike / armor break
Ramza - Raise / double strike
Tyro - Esuna / Heala
Kimahri - Power break / fill
Relm - Healga / fill
Wondering if there are any strategies I should know, or any specific RW skill I should be looking for, and any tips for making sure I get the RW skill I'm looking for.

Oh well, a win is a win.
Yeah I didn't bring a Black Mage to the fight thinking that Diagra would do more damage so I brought level 51 Relm as my 2nd WM with 305 MND. She did okay, doing about 7.5k per hit? Didn't beat Agrias that had 445 atk + Shout, doing 9999 x 2

I went with a bit of a departure from my A team because of the holy requirements.

First attempt I rushed the phase change too fast, started with Greg using Saint's Cross followed by Diaga from Agrais on Turn 1. The result was Demon form responding with the Flash Rain and chunking down my entire team by 3k each before any mitigation was set up. Could have possibly recovered but he did it again after mitigation but a fraction of a second before Princess Favor went out.
Second attempt I played much smarter. Wall+Shellga+Lunatic High right off the bat, Saint's Cross to shift form and Diaga cued up to land right after. Then a Full Break and it was go time. Hitting about 6k on Life Siphons with a lot of synergy. Magic Breakdown+Full Break+Wall trivialized his damage but was a bit overkill, I should have brought Armor Breakdown instead. Fenrir Overdrive and Hallowed Bolt were hitting for about 3k and 3.5k a hit respectively. Overall damage output was on the lower side since I didn't bring any boostga or Armor breakdown but it was consistent and the incoming damage was easy to handle.
He only switched back to goddess once and was immediately knocked out by Saint's Cross. At that point I had done enough damage that he stayed in Demon form the rest of the fight. Got one cast of Poltergeist off.
Saint's cross was the real heavy hitter, hitting for around 8.5k a hit. Having that at R2 was incredibly useful for this fight.

Thinking over the entire fight, I probably should have gone for Shout instead of Divine Guardian. I think I had enough mitigation, and if I just put my healer on full time healing duties it would have been better than trying to squeeze off some Trigger Happy time and relying on Tailwind for healing.
Getting Celes and Agrias capping closer to 9999s and Ramza doing more damage would have made up for the slightly lower resistance from not having DG. Basically, sacrifice some res in exchange for closer to 50% more damage.
I had two shifts back into Goddess and I was able to just brute force the second into permanent Demon form
I've got a lot of abilities I want to create/hone. I want aga spellblades for that extra 20% or so damage vs the aras, I want more summons (R3 hones on the 4* summons would be a good spot for me) and I want to look into honing Saint's Cross to R3 because that really has been a stand out ability for me lately and I'm doubly sad when something is immune to holy because that means no Diaga and no Saint's Cross.
Chadarnook didn't even change back into goddess form. Saint Cross on Agrias is once again Civilization. And Banishing Blade on Ramza, because it's also holy damage and that's basically rubbing it in at that point.
Near the end with about 10% life left or so, I managed to queue in perfect order the following:
Is there even a purpose for these instant death resisting accessories? There aren't that many bosses that throw out random actual Doom (instant vs. countdown) and I don't think there's any boss that hinges on it as a mechanic that everyone must survive. I'm just going to throw this Memento Chain out.
Looking at the mythril count tracker post @Shamus linked, only roughly 200 extra mythril between now and the alleged BSBfest date, but someone else in the thread commented that we might get it later because our own events schedule got screwed up. So we may, once again, have some difficult events without the extra benefit of having been padded by BSBfest, but on the plus side, that's a bunch of additional mythril to stock up for it. I think I may do a pull for FFXII and hope for Basch's Shield in one shot, but then save the rest for BSB. That'd put me at about 400 if we are in fact getting it later than expected.
I think death protection also offers some resistance to gravity-style attacks, but I've never tested it.

Certain Ultimate+ bosses down the line will have scripted aoe doom/gravija casts which major death resist can negate but you might as well use magic blink
Magic blink sources are about as rare right now as the accessories that offer top end protection. Kimahri's first relic SB, Selphie's Dreamstage and soon Beatrix's SSB. Eeeeenh. I'll need to find out which bosses do this and what the rewards are.
Flex slot could be Terra (80) with Firaja and R2 Alexander (best mage weapon is Punisher++), or I could bring another white mage like Lenna (79) with Curaja / Diara and the white staff for medium regen. But since I'm bringing Shout for the holy warrior pair, maybe it makes more sense to bring someone like Sephiroth (wielding Cyan's Kotetsu and with Black Materia and using my best physical attacks). I don't have Agrias past 50 yet, and Ramza is only like 55 or so. I have Throw Stones, but the levels just aren't there yet to bring them along.
I only have R1 Saint's Cross and R2 Banishing Strike, but maybe I can hone one of them before the fight. Regardless those SBs are too useful to not bring them along for this one. Maybe I swap Ace Striker and Knight's Charge; Pecil will be doing more damage, but with R3 Lifesiphon he's already charging quicker.

Beat Ultimate Chardnook with mastery. It was messy, but a win is a win, and mastery is mastery.
Honestly it wasn't hard at all. I just didn't manage my rebuffing very well in the second half of the fight and I lost Agrias and Locke before I got Shellga back into place. But by the time they went down, boss was nearly dead. Ramza got the killshot with Hail of Stones.
The main thing I don't like about Saint's Cross is the unnecessary Esuna tacked on to it. The Regen will take care of Poison and Sap; you don't need Esuna for that. Silence and Slow are about the only debuffs you can reliably clear with it, because Sleep/Stop/Paralyze/Stone completely incapacitate you. Blind is the only other debuff you can remove but Saint's Cross being physical means you're going to miss most of the time anyway, so you're probably wasting a turn. I would rather they remove the Esuna and make the regen heavy.
Mangled all of the bonus battles, including the Ultimate. Don't think I had to S/L even once on any of it, that was a strange feeling. I'm still floating the orbs for R2 Full Break, but I noticed I had enough spare to craft and hone a second Lifesiphon to R3, so I did and it was great. I went way overboard with defensive measures, but it's nice to have it and not need it, and I can always channel extra meter on Ramza into damage rather than heals since I have both Throw Stone and Tailwind. I also equipped Tyro with physical gear and gave him a Diaga just to be extra sure I had a holy magic ready to turn off the demon's physical invulnerability, but that was a complete waste of a slot. Either should have given him a book so he'd have decent stats for both, or a second physical skill. Even the Curaja on Relm was mostly a waste of a slot, I'd have been fine without it. Also I lied earlier, it's the Curaja that's 4k with RS, Portrait is "only" 3.2k with RS. Still completely ridiculous.
75 Gilgamesh: Lifesiphon R3, Saint's Cross R1, +20% fist damage, Faithful Companion
70 Agrias: Lifesiphon R3, Banishing Strike R3, +50% meter gain, Cleansing Strike
70 Ramza: Full Break R1, Armor Breakdown R3, Dr. Mog's, Throw Stone/Tailwind
79 Tyro: Magic Breakdown R2, Diaga R2, Mako Might, Sentinel Grimoire
65 Relm: Shellga R2, Curaja R4, Flower of Trabia (changes attack to Dia), Portrait of Lakshmi. Had the Bolt Armband equipped but wasn't really needed.
RW Shout
First round was SG, Shellga, RW, then wait for Relm and Tyro to be ready. Then Saint's Cross, Relm auto -> Dia, Diaga for good measure, and commence the beatdown. I counted turns for the demon, and after it had taken four I had everyone queue up their holy attacks, which flipped it immediately from goddess right back into demon. It didn't revert to goddess a second time, and it only got one Poltergeist off. I think it also only Drained once. I actually forgot to re-up Shout in the middle of the fight, so it took a little longer than it should have, but I still got full medals.
I did Drawtaliate for Hidon, and was absentmindedly fighting along and thought "oh, Faithful Companion is up, guess I'll use that to put High Regen on." It chunked the lackeys for like 90% of their health, so suddenly my Retaliates were aiming at them rather than the big guy. :0 Fortunately they don't actually trigger Retaliate that often, so I was able to escape without getting into Grand Train territory.

You're taking too much magic damage because you're not fully breaking down Wrexsoul's Magic.
Try this:

Tyro- Magic Breakdown/Full Break SG

Agrias - Blizzaga Strike/Protectga or Lifesiphon
Lenna - Curaga/Shellga
Magic Breakdown/Full Break/Cleansing Strike will make his magic hit for nothing.

RW: Shout
Honestly, you can't go wrong with either Terra or Sephiroth. Pecil and Beatrix's SBs are gonna smoke the Demon form.
Honestly it wasn't hard at all. I just didn't manage my rebuffing very well in the second half of the fight and I lost Agrias and Locke before I got Shellga back into place. But by the time they went down, boss was nearly dead. Ramza got the killshot with Hail of Stones.
God Bless Ramza and owning all 3 of his relics.

Got Kefka's Cloak. Hastega and +20% Mag Up. I'll take it.
Also, since I just got this item, it vastly reduces my desire for Edea's Crown since it is literally the same thing.
Did another pull with those 3 mythril we got. Another stupid Strago Mace. Come onnnnnnnn game. Anything else! Literally any other item!
