Probably a little hyperbolic but they describe it as PvP Dark Souls meets Smash Bros. At any rate, the price seems right
Could also make for an interesting FNG
Definitely a possibility but reading some the reviews it may have the same connection issues as Apotheon Arena did. Still, free is always the right price.
More importantly, it sounds like they got Ashley Barrett and Darren Korb back for the music.
did they not do transistor? i didnt play it long enough to notice, but that seems like a weird choice considering how big a part they played in bastion

They did and they were also a big part of it. Anything with more Ashley Barrett is great and I'm glad to see it's her since I couldn't really tell from the backup vocals in the trailer song.
Speaking of which, looks like they released a bonus song for Transistor a few months ago and I missed it, sound good:
Transistor has pretty much one of my favourite soundtracks in all gaming, top 5 at least. Supergiant Games games are worth buying just for the music alone.
Can't sleep, so I'm awake and browsing the internet. Remember that Rambo game that came out 2 years ago? It was basically a lightgun shooter without the lightgun.
Anyway, they're releasing free DLC for it tomorrow. While the base game is pretty much the first three movies, this one is apparently a prequel. What a weird thing to do.
When the faceless rebelled against Biocorp, they took a bunch of the head scientists and dumped them in a vat. The chemicals inside then merged them all together into a single being.
Nah, apparently I missed the Quicksilver quest leading to that. Found him at Core City again but he didn't say anything else. Regarding the spoiler,
I had a hunch that Tchort was the combined biomass of the scientists, but I wasn't sure how the Faceless fit in besides being another of their products. Them being forcibly added to the mix is interesting.
Does underrail have romantic options and orgies like arcanum and fallout?
None that I've noticed.
Well, that's not entirely true. There is one lady...
that turns out to be a serial killer. If you take the bait, you lose your gear and she chases you through her lair with a knife.
Beat her by hacking turrets, while grumbling about how hard it is to meet women and how I'm never trusting Craigslist again.
In a neat twist, it's actually possible to stumble on her hideout first, find evidence, and have her arrested without fighting. Some great quest design in parts of the game.
Didn't mean to steal your moves, @HiT BiT. Your way of posting it is way easier than when I used to type it all out And it's a damn good bundle I wanted to make sure people knew about.
I'm actually a bit wary of Pyre. The music doesn't grab me like the last two did.
And I found Transistor to be fun but had story problems, especially late game it felt kind of rushed.
I may need to wait for a sale on that one.
There's no plan, there's no race to be run

Looking forward to hearing more about Pyre since I have no idea what kind of game it is based on that trailer. I also have to play through Transistor one of these days.
Hey Steam Thread! Hex: Shards of Fate came out on Steam today! I've been playing it for a while and would recommend it a lot. There's a PvE campaign with special cards and abilities that is fairly deep and a lot of fun, plus a lot of drafting and PvP kind of tournaments. If you've been interested in Magic The Gathering or the like before, I highly recommend it. If you're a newer player and need some staples, I'm happy to help too! Crossposting from the hex thread:
Check my collection: http://hex.tcgbrowser.com/#!/cards/collection=22093 which is more or less up to date.
Anything common or uncommon (White or green dot) I am down to give you no problem, assuming I have more than 4 (max you can play in a deck) and it's not worth some crazy amount I should be selling it for instead.
Rares or Legendaries (blue/red dots) are less likely, but if you see I have a bunch and wanna ask, go for it. Just hit me up on steam or message me on PA and I'll try and get to you. I've drafted a lot so I have like 30 or more of some commons and uncommons and wouldn't mind helping out starter people at all!
edit: Also doing a bunch of streaming if you wanna watch
Luftrausers is a hectic arcade-style shmup by indie darling Vlambeer. It is aesthetically a very retro-looking game with it's 4 shades of beige (and multiple unlockable palettes, all with only 4 shades) and it is a very fun game.
Luftrausers, in a nutshell, has you piloting an experimental aircraft of your own design against endless waves of enemies with 360 degrees of freedom of movement. The goal is mostly to score as many points as possible but there are some secondary objectives to keep in mind, to unlock things.
Gameplay
Luftrausers has very simple controls. You control thrust, direction and you can shoot your weapon. The controls are very intuitive, which is great, since this is a high-intensity action game. On top of piloting your aircraft, you can earn parts and customize the Weapon, Body and Motors. You can choose from 5 kinds of each part, which range from laser to a nuke body to a kind of motor that allows you to sort of negate gravity. Really neat stuff. You can have a lot of really different playstyles with different configurations.
Additionally, unlike many other arcade games, you do not have a single hit before you're done for. instead, you can take a couple hits and regenerate your health by not firing.
Since the goal is to score points, the best way to do it is through the Multiplier system. Whenever you kill an enemy, regardless of type, you gain its point value and the multiplier goes up by 1. The maximum multiplier is 20 and the multiplier disappears, scoring in the points after a couple of seconds without casualties.
As a result, you need to balance killing enemies to maintain your multiplier and not firing to regain health, all while trying to weave through a tapestry of bullets. it gets hectic. To maximize your score, you can't ignore the small fry and kill the big-scoring enemies because, without a good multiplier going, even a battleship will be worth little.
Presentation
Luftrausers has great aesthetics. Retro, with 4-shades of sepia tones, it manages to have cool character designs... even though you're pretty much playing a nazi test pilot. The characters look lively between missions, even if they are just eye candy. Enemies are clear, with nice silouhettes that make it clear what type they are. Luckily, there are only a handful of enemy types, so you never get confused.
The music is great, a military march that's based on your chosen plane configuration that amps up as you score points and becoems more and more epic. Good stuff there. Not a lot of variety in melody, but since there's only one endless level, it's not such a bad thing.
Lasting Value
Luftrausers doesn't end.
it just doesn't. You might unlock all the parts, you'll still get missions to complete, scores to beat and unlock new palettes to look at.
As long as you have fun with it, you can keep trying to beat your scores. it's superb in that regard. i never get tired of it and, thanks to its intuitive controls, it's not that hard to get back into the thick of it after an extended break.
Rating
As such, i give Luftrausers my Arbitrary rating of... 5 Star General.
it's a fantastic indie title and it's super fun. it looks good, it sounds good, it plays well and it's still incredibly simple.
Truly a must-buy if you like indie games, old school shmups or arcade-style titles.

Pretty fun game. I've only played the first chapter so far, but it's a fun little side story that ties into the events of the movie.
I would totally get in this if I had played beyond even episode one of the other 10-odd episodic games I have. I've heard it's one of the best child-eating simulators around. Maybe I should get my 5yo to play through it...

PvE still not finished?
Chapter 1 of the campaign is out! Not finished yet though, no. Gonna be ever expanding and all that too. Set 4 comes out next week.
On that note, I have internet. It isn't set up right yet, but it works.
My house is still a mess.
@an_alt I downloaded FFIX and started today. I'm so looking forward to wasting time away on this game. The character models look nice, but it is interesting against the background being low res. I do like how they went for having bars on the side so you can run it in high resolution not 4:3.
You couldn't even let there be one post between us, huh? Just oh look, Grove put up a game....I'll put up a hundred!
I love mock outrage in the Steam thread.

It's fun to playfully poke at someone! Though every time I do I am utterly terrified of it'll be received as the joke it's meant to be or not.
Yeah, I've gotten more than one PM from someone making sure I'm alright. Unfortunately, those PMs tend to come from the sweetest of people, which makes me feel awful for making them worry.

But your game features dinosaurs eating everybody.
Hey, of all those posted, yours is the only one I entered!
I won't lie...I entered one of Doc Arch's myself. There's some damn fine gaming there.

I would be pretty shocked if it didn't. RDR1 was kind of a strange beast. I wouldn't expect a simultaneous release, though.
