Oh right, fiesta! I should go try to remember my twitter account so I can get on that. Maybe I'll actually finish in time this year (previous attempt took me ~3 years because I got bored midway through)
I'm just doing a standard run for my first one this year. Ended up with Thief/Time Mage/Ranger/Dragoon. One of my weaker standard runs I've done, but aside from a few hiccups (I ended up grinding a little in world 1 by breaking rods on mini dragons, and I needed to level to 10 to beat Garula with 4 Thieves), it's been going well so far. Up to storming Exdeath's castle at the end of world 2.
I am indeed playing the Fiesta again. So far I've gotten Knight, Mystic Knight, and Bard. I'm kind of iffy on Bard, as I've never really used them. Hunting down songs isn't all that fun for me, so I've mostly ignored the class over the years. Makes this run interesting.
Swift Song and Hero's Rime are extremely good songs. They steadily increase the party's speed and level values, respectively, for the remainder of the fight.

Oh shit its fiesta time? I need to get involved. I would like to get some video of it to put up so I need to figure out how to accomplish that.

There's also a song you get in world 2 that trivializes grinding in world 3, the undead requiem. Because everything in the undersea trench is undead, you can sing everything there to death for easy levels and money once you get there. I used that a few years back to power up before tackling the final dungeon. Also, Bards can stun lock Omega with one of their songs.
Requiem is also great in the Pyramid. Overall I don't really like Bards, but those two parts of the game in particular are much less obnoxious with them. So much so that if I were doing a non-fiesta game, I would switch someone to Bard for those parts.
Normal risk. I always digged bard after my first fiesta with them, surprisingly useful imo. Also, lol Chemist I win. Already got 99 turtle shells ready and waiting.
I am honestly and truly disappointed and saddened by that live demo. I'm already expecting Tabata to bring it up the first chance he gets with another "Yeah that wasn't great but seriously you guys this game will be great." Even if he ends up right in the end, I am seriously tired of hearing him acknowledging the continued fuck-ups in FFXV's marketing.
The one positive was that the footage looked really, really smooth. Makes me curious what hardware it was running on.

I kind of want to see what a main installment of a single player FF would look like headed by Naoki Yoshida.
..But then again, that would mean letting him free from the basement where he and his entire team are chained up and forced to work on FF14 every waking hour and I don't know that I want that.
I want to play WOFF but I would need to get a console it will be on to play it.
At least Vita might be an option, but money money money.
Vita isn't that expensive on a refurb. The difference between a 64 GB card and a refurb is like $10 (on Amazon, and I hear importing memory is drastically cheaper).
Which is more to say the memory prices are fucking obscene but.
I'm still hype as hell for FFXV, but I bet SE just smashed the glass on their emergency FFVII RE trailer.
Shit, we need this already! Get it out there now, damn you, now!
Honestly, that's what WoFF is starting to feel like.

I pretty much despise cutesy art so it's a no go for me. Glad it's hitting for others though, more FF love is always welcome. But yeah, I'll most likely skip that one. Can't look at that art for hundred + hours if what they quoted is remotely true.
i didn't watch the stage demo, but i wouldn't be surprised if even something simple like some really bad input lag due to the presentation setup made it impossible to properly play the game.

I did hear some talk about about possible interference, but I don't know if I'm buying it.
That's why these darn kids need to use hard wired like we did in my day. Dozens of us still do. Dozens!

Oh I know, its very affordable. Still is a decent chunk of money tough. I just spent a few hundred upgrading my PC to passable.
And the XV VR demo managed to out-skeeve all the previous XV marketing, which is quite an impressive feat. This game just keeps sinking lower and lower.

Sauce, I think you've answered this before, but are you planning to skip this entirely because of Cidney? Not trying to debate or antagonize, I'm just curious. I personally don't mind her design, but the camera sweeps definitely are obvious gazey moments and would make me not want to play those sections in mixed company. My thinking is that she's going to be such a small part of what looks to be a 50-70 hour experience and everything we've seen is just a huge failing of marketing towards guys (broad trip, and all).
But yeah, that VR "stare at her from all angles in 3D!" is just ridiculous. Thank god it's not required.

No, it's a combination of several things. For me Cindey stuff is #3-ish; #2 is a battle system I find to be awkward and not very fun to play, and #1 is an all-male party cast. I had issues with Fran's visual design in FFXII, but I still love the game (and the character even). Having 1/2 of the party being female, and two of those being really strong characters besides, really helped.
Honestly with that whole VR segment, I'm more disappointed in Sony than in XV. I pretty much expect distasteful stuff from the XV team at this point, but I'm annoyed Sony went along with it. And I'm doubly weirded-out by the catcalling that was happening during that bit in the audience at the Sony theater. That was really great to hear in my local theater's full surround.

It is kind of sad that not much has been mentioned of it. Rolled white mage, summoner, bard, and dancer. Just started World 2.
edit: got the Wind Job 'Knight'. Attack. Attack. Attack. Attack. Attack.

In World 2 right now, it's been very fun so far especially now that everyone has their classes.

But I certainly don't want to do a normal run.
I need to decide tonight before I register though.
Either way I fully plan on doing both extra bosses. I absolutely have to.
I don't mean graphics, mind you. It just looked clumsy and slow and not fun.
The person playing was absolutely awful.
Live demos are cancer at live events.
Basically he spent his time failing to dodge the attacks, almost dying, and had to be revived....
It's also probably not a good fight example given that most fights aren't against giant mountain sized targets with limited attacks.
Just poor choices all around for a demo honestly.

Seriously. Looked like he had never picked up a controller before. I'm sure it was just nerves, but man he was all thumbs.
Of course!
