what's never made explicitly clear in this roadtrip stuff is if it's necessary for you to enter your code then or at the end of the event. The wording on it is kinda funky.

People have been contacting Amazon and getting replacement codes that seem to work. I did the same and am awaiting a new code.

Oh dang I LOVE the song playing on the Road Trip page.

    Potential Road Trip Fix:
So for those getting the "Invalid Code" message when trying to input the code sent by Amazon, here's the fix that worked for me and some friends:
    1) Type out the entire code.
    2) Count the number of digits.
    3) Two Scenarios:
[a] If it is 15 digits, add a 16th number. Keep trying from 0-9.
If it is 16 digits, replace the 16th number with another from 0-9.
    4) One of those 10 possible codes should work.
This fix worked on my code as well as well as 2 other friends that pre-ordered from Amazon as well and had the same problem.
Hope this works for you guys too!
[~EDIT~]: For those of you wondering why this works, I assume it's because the codes they gave out somehow messed up the last digit. Some people got a blank, while most others got a 0 as the 16th digit. Replacing or adding the 16th number fixes that.

Working that secret area and I have a Zappt to join the original Bablizz. Now I just need to find the Ifrit one and I'll be in business.

Found a Fritt. Found an event that implies the gender swapped Shiva/Ifrit are running around somewhere now, not sure where. And I can get the mementos for non-unique Shiva/Ramuh/Ifrit, but those are level 55 fights.

Which is to say I could probably manage Shiva or Ifrit by going in with both stacks immune, but it would be slow going.

It's refreshing to run into characters like Faris and Quistis and hearing them speak for the first time while thinking "Yep, that's precisely how I imagined how they would sound."

    Can't wait to meet Celes.

    Also, regarding Saronia Harbor:
was there any point to messing with the three bells the first time through? They implied you had to hit them in a certain order, but I was able to get to the ship and meet Faris without figuring the bell order out.

I would not recommend doing the secret area until you've got way more levels under your belt and you can hit the rare mob's weakness very hard. Because there's five of them in a group and they are all ready to wreck your day in a heartbeat.

I would also apply this advice to the online multiplayer, which I tried once the other day.

Your levels may be even, but that doesn't account for squat when the opponent has a perfect stack of god beasts that can take three turns before you hit one.

Amazon sent me a new email about the road trip thing that had a new code in it this morning. There was no indication they were doing it to fix the issue, but I figure that's what it was for and I was able to enter the new code from that email with no problem on the website.

I've only had them run when they have a prismtunity on them. But most enemies are not resistant to hypnosis so I generally just knock them out and then work on Imprisming them while they sleep.

Yea it's just one of those things where at least for magic in this, especially when people talk about the grenade aspect being weird to them, you can just click lock on and cast the magic with a simple button press afterwards.

I get not using lock on all the time but you can lock and unlock easily! Make use of the tools you have when they are useful.

In souls games for me it always depends on the enemy/how the camera is handling the environment I'm for when I lock and unlock.
