Forbidden Ancient seems meh. It'd be an okay Arena pick if it wasn't Epic. Doubt it will see much constructed play, there's better stuff at every mana cost.
obviously there's going to be better stuff at every mana cost, you pay for flexibility
ancient on war may be better at 7 mana but you can't play it on 5 mana (barring innervate)

No one really plays vanilla stats minions, though. Maybe if it had taunt or something.

No one plays vanilla stats minions now. That may change in standard. Solid, card-text-less minions like Yeti may end up seeing more play in some decks, we'll see.
you can also search "whispers" in your collection in crafting mode and see all the cards. I just did that/
protip: click the book down in the bottom left corner of the collection screen to select which sets you wanna look at. they even have a convenient "standard" setting that includes all valid sets!

Wow, the flavor text is a lot better this set than usual. Ones that haven't already been posted that I particularly liked
Spreading Madness: Most citizens of Darkshire wear those surgical masks to prevent spreading Madness to tourists.
Hooded Acolyte: Wait, what kind of acolyte doesn't wear a hood?
Darkshire Alchemist: The secret ingredient: liquified funnel cake.
Fandral Staghelm: Always manages to mention "Back when I was creating the World Tree…" in EVERY conversation. Sheesh! Enough already.
Shifter Zerus: It's like being able to play with THREE angry chickens!

If you go into your collection, hit "crafting," and search "whispers" in the little search box on the bottom, it will let you look at all the whispers cards (except C'Thun, since he's soulbound).

so click the "show soulbound" button to see him! also beckoner of evil is soulbound
Welp, I got a list of Legendaries I'm hoping to pop from my 100+ Old Gods packs.
Class Leggos:
Princess Huhuran - Seems essential for the new Midrange Hunter lists, just a really good card.
Hallazeal the Ascended - Crazy healing potential, seems like a staple for Midrange Shaman
Fandral Staghelm - Like Brann, seems to have pretty good value.
Cho'gall - Natural fit for Reno/Hand Lock, I think
Bonus: Xaril, Poisoned Mind - I don't really run Rogue too often, but this seems to be a good card for any potential archetypes, maybe even C'Thun Rogue. Definitely Raptor Rogue, if that continues to exist in some form.
Neutral Leggos:
ALL THE OLD GODS. But specifically, N'Zoth.
Twin Emperor Vek'lor - Staple in C'Thun decks for sure.
Soggoth the Slitherer - Maybe actually pretty good in slow Control decks? Shrug.
Deathwing, Dragonlord - Pretty goddamn great Legendary for Dragon decks!
The rest I don't really care about too much, I think. Other class leggos might be nice to get, just to have them.
Nice to finally dust. Got 3700 Crafted Antonidas and then saved the rest. Man, mage is a whole new class now. If I had to do it over again, I'd craft Antonidas before Tirion.
Forbidden stuff is good. How many times have you had a clogged hand and had to hero power two turns in a row? This card provides tempo at any mana cost. It's so good but I know flexibility is difficult to put into straight math.

I particularly am looking forward to it in priest
haven't played ragnaros in a while and just had him survive 4 turns as tempo mage vs priest. damn that feels good.
So this seems patch note worthy. Looks like some big action ordering changes went through in the patch.
Oh Blizzard, you would do that
That Flamewanker / stealth interaction is kinda nuts.
Wild Pyromancer + Stealth Spare Part was tested. Wild Pyromancer also retains stealth.
But the NEXT spell you cast removes the Stealth due to the damage trigger. So something weird is happening where the Spare Part applies Stealth at two different times, I guess.
Totally intentional :P
I don't know why I'm so amused by these bugs but I am for some reason!
Yeah that's not staying. I guess it's good they're clearly working on refactoring their code? Even if they apparently can't help but fuck it up every time.

Yes and no, respectively. I agree the wording is a little too similar for the cards working differently.

Or with Brann on the board. But yeah, X/X for X mana is behind curve.
