    Yay! So glad to see Abby as a guest. What a hilarious contribution to the universe too, I almost feel like this could be canon.

    SPOILERS: Cat's in panel 5

    Haa, aw man, I used to live in a place that had snapping turtles when I was a teen. Every so often one would wander into our yard and I'd have to go pick it up and carry it away before the dog or one of our cats could harass it and get snapped (or one would be in the road and need to be moved). Those things were huge and HEAVY and would spend the whole time I was carrying them trying their best to bite me and in retrospect I don't know why my football-playing brothers never took turtle-carrying duty when I was a girl with all the muscle definition of a limp carrot. But I never got bitten. (The trick if you're ever in that situation is to throw a heavy blanket or coat over them, they'll keep snapping into the fabric and it'll block them from twisting their head enough to get at you though their attempts make them squirmy enough it's hard to keep your grip so be ready to put them down quickly if you feel your grip slipping.)

    We never had snapping turtles in my yard as a kid, just box turtles. And toads, blues-tailed lizards, salamanders, and crawdads. I caught all kinds of things as a kid.

    I did run into a snapping turtle in a creek. They are vicious and mean and will try to bite you if you get near them. Bravo for rescuing them.

    @BRIGUY:

    Wow, your yard was full of interesting things. Blue-tailed lizards? Where is that yard located on the face of the Earth?

    It was these guys. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plestiodon_fasciatus
    I was fortunate in that I had lots of cool places to explore in my yard. And both my grandfather and uncle owned huge farms both with lakes, creeks and large wooded areas for me to get lost in.

    @hajen
    This is one of the guest comics done as part of the volume 1 Kickstarter.

    All I had to play with were these guys as a kid: http://www.californiaherps.com/salamanders/pages/e.e.eschscholtzii.html

    For an Abby Howard comic involving children, the body count on this strip was surprisingly low.

    What a fantastic guest comic! The art is good and the comedic tone is true to the comic.

    I wonder if that is the biggest stipulation before someone is allowed to do a guest comic. "Can you draw a cat?"

    Briguy must be from the south, his yard sounds like mine here in Florida. Blue tailed skinks are pretty common around here.

    Abby, You draw an absolutely adorable Seventeen in panel 2 !

    Katie & Adam, I hope you guys can make it down to one of the Florida Comicons some time. Love the comic ! And Skadi !
