Diamond and Pearl, the 4th Generation in the long-standing Pokemon series!

Many things have changed since the days of Kanto.

First, there is an all new world:



with all new gym leaders, trainers, and of course, Pokemon.

And what's more, almost all of them are obtainable between the two versions. The only unobtainables are:

RBY Starters
GSC Starters
RSE Starters
Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres
Entei, Raikou, Suicune
The Regis
Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Latias, Latios, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys

Other than that, you are set with one version!

Wi-Fi Trading!

And not only that, we also have Wi-Fi battling. Not only can you obtain almost every Pokemon, but you can spar with anyone, anytime as well!

Now there's a reason for you keeping your GBA versions: unlocking Pokemon! After obtaining the Sinnoh Dex (which consists of only SEEING every Pokemon on this list: http://serebii.net/diamondpearl/shinoudex.shtml), you pop in a GBA game and a handful of Pokemon become available for catching! Speaking of GBA versions, there is now a way to transfer your old Pokemon into Diamond and Pearl! Be warned though: once they go to DP, they won't return. Find out more information here: http://serebii.net/diamondpearl/3rdgentrade.shtml



The Night/Day system returns as well (which can be manipulated with the DS's clock, so no more staying up at night just to catch that Hoothoot).

No more are the days of types being relegated to Special or Physical status. Now when Pikachu uses Volt Tackle, it won't be a Special attack, but a Physical one.

If we're making a new thread every 1-2 days for like, a few weeks, they might consider it.

I highly doubt there will be a Pokemon subforum. It is possible, because Pokemon + Online = zomgpeople, but the far more likely outcome is two separate threads.

Finally caught that Lugia in Gold like I said I would. And I just checked what it stats/DV's would be. They're crap!

Attack DV = 4, Defense DV = 5, Speed DV = 1 (F**king one!), Special DV 6. Makes for a Hit Point DV of 13.

Well, it's not like I would use him anyways.

Edit: Wait, that doesn't make sense. Def. DV has to be even for HP DV 13. +/- 1 on that Def. DV. Still crap.

I'd like a Celebi, too. I'm not sure if my router will play nice with my DS, though (and I need to get my friend code for Diamond...) .

Also, is it just me or should there be a better way of organizing who has whose Friend Codes on the forum? (maybe even a strange social network based around friend codes, but maybe i'm just thinking too much on the topic)

Do we need to be at a certain place in the game in order to get Celebi? Further than opening the basement of the Pokemon Hospital? I'd like to get it, but I haven't played a Pokemon game since Blue and I keep hearing things like "unlocking the national dex" in order to trade stuff.

Someone write me up an eeveelution team for semi casual play that doesnt suck. Only eevee and his evolutions in it. And it has to be doable without a ton of breeding for moves, and with the TMs from only 1 game.
