Do we need to be at a certain place in the game in order to get Celebi? Further than opening the basement of the Pokemon Hospital? I'd like to get it, but I haven't played a Pokemon game since Blue and I keep hearing things like "unlocking the national dex" in order to trade stuff.
In order for me to get Celebi, I need to beat the Elite 4 and see every pokemon in the Sinnoh Dex. This will unlock the Pal Park and the National Dex. I also assume that everyone who wants a Celebi will have to get the National Dex as well because I don't think the Sinnoh Dex has a spot for him. If that's true, then that lowers the stress a bit on my end to finish the game in like 5 days.

Man, I feel like I'm going so slow compared to everyone else...just got the Bicycle, and my guys are around the 19-23 range. The whole "gear-shifting" is an interesting touch, definitely beats out switching bikes.
Also just got a brand new level 20 Cranidos. Pretty cool that you can get fossil Pokemon this early thanks to the Underground.

So, abra/kadabra/alakhazam, do I have to trade to get kadabra?
No; Abra evolves to Kadabra somewhere in the teens.
From there on you can trade for a Alakhazam, because he still learns moves, unlike evo's from stones.
Just caught Dialga. Threw one Pokeball, two Great, and caught it on my first Ultra. It has a Brave nature. Not the best, but I can definately make it work if I ever decide to raise it.

Fuck the Ghost Gym. I could predict every confusion fuckover and every critical hit. Only fight where I thought I might lose, and it's all because of the INCREDIBLY rigged luck they give the AI.

Cloning thing in Emerald. I'd feel more guilty about it if event pokemon weren't the biggest crock of shit.

2 badges, uhhh, I'm starting to assemble a real team between Monferno, Misdreavus and Gyrados who are all in their early twenties pretty much even. I can't believe I got Gyrados in one day, and it was almost worth putting up with magikarp all that time.
How does everyone organize their pokemon storage, I was thinking of organizing them by lvls of 20s there is organizing them by element but wont it be unbalance?
