I've been staring at the official pax twitter for the past few days and it's been bugging me that they don't list Aus. Not that I'll ever have enough to travel there it is just Aus shouldn't be excluded just because it is a very distant and a bit odd relative to the rest
They have their own Twitter.
Which makes sense to me - just because of time zone differences.
And they've been tweeting this month. Could you imagine all the Prime West panic for all the Aus tweets! Or they'd have to decrease their Aus tweets, which some could see as a bad thing.
hmm interesting, maybe south should do this also, that way they could keep promoting things they have for south when they confirm something
Well, May 28th I believe is the latest that PAX Prime West tickets have gone on sale, so we're in uncharted territory now. Maybe it will be August when they go on sale... :P
My wife's work has a "when it will go on sale" pool, and suffice to say, everyone has now lost.

PAX Prime 09, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18
Seven years of PAX mean I didn't even bother getting up at a reasonable hour today to F5. Hooray for experience!
They better be next week though cause it's my last full week in town before it's back to work Also, I've never had to contact my PPD caterer before badge sales and yet here we are.
Conspiracy theory: The reason why there was no "No tickets over Memorial day Weekend" notification is because they're deliberately putting them on sale today, in order to catch more people off guard, so that tickets don't immediately sell out.

I highly doubt it. The possible extra half-hour to sell out from posting on a holiday isn't worth the extra hassle, headaches, and problems that would arise from doing it when all other businesses (on Peak, ShowClix, etc.) are likely away or at least probably on reduced-staff holiday.
That being said, I'd be super happy if they're posted today. I'm available and sitting at my desk all day today
I'm off to see the doctor, good luck all. Hope the sale happens soon, even if I miss out on them while at the doctors at least there is no more waiting
Looks like June tickets this year! I sure hope I'm not "optimistic" saying June...
Can you imagine if they go on sale in July or even in August? I'm sure some people have already made travel plans, but I bet most are waiting until after they get tickets.

If the trend continues they'll end up selling tickets so close to the actual date that we just buy them while in line on site. It will have come full circle...

Oh please no. I only make travel plans until after I have confirmed tickets.

Same, I'm really hoping flight prices go down a bit between now and then. A roundtrip ticket is currently in the neighborhood of $450 for me.
We're supposed to be in the window of cheapest tickets (114-27 days out). But so far, I've not seen any dips. But then that window is an average all off domestic US travel. Tickets to a popular specific event may very well not follow that rule at all (PAX West is like a Christmas that only happens in Seattle). It's not like the airlines wouldn't have noticed that SEA is crushed that weekend.
Currently only $45 each way for airfare for me currently, but train is only $22.
Train can be fun, i took it to PAX east once and most of the train was nothing but PAX goers. But it is a VERY long trip and Amtrak does no have the best on-time record.
Already paid for my flight about a day before it went up a lot in price, paid $540 from YYZ-SEA (that includes the pick a seat price).

It is also Labor Day weekend and Bumpershoot is going on. Airline tickets are probably only going to go up I would guess.

ProTip: This is easily solved by coming back Sunday!

For me (Tucson), that isn't any cheaper. Tuesday and Sunday are the same. $34 cheaper than Monday I guess.

Blasphemy! That is like saying you could easily save money by not going to Pax at all.

I just looked and the price difference between the days is about 30-40 dollars depending on the exact flights.

I'm technically taking the train to PAX. But that is because I'm flying into Vancouver for some tourism first. Then training down to Seattle Thursday morning. I don't expect it to be like the epic PAX Train up the coast, but it'll beat renting a car. It'll be my first train in the US.
There are advantages to being local to the area (I don't have to pay for insanely priced plane tickets), although I plan on finding a room share this year so that I don't have to be up at 0-dark-hundred to find a decent parking spot for the day.
I have stayed in hotels my 2 times I went to PAX, this year staying with family in Bellevue and will have to commute in (saving a lot of money this way). Will be interesting for sure getting in.
Anyway, hoping today is the day!

I'm also staying with a friend this year. It'll be interesting to see what parts I like about sleeping in a hotel and which parts I enjoy about sleeping at my friends place. Either way, this is going to be a great year! I'm even coming in a couple days early to experience the Seattle life.

Plus the Showclix/PAX people deserve time and a half to put up with us!
P.S. I hope this and Sony's E3 Theatre Experience don't go on sale at the same time tomorrow.
