Anyway, I've just finished my pre-patch bullshit which amounted to opening all 700ish salvage boxes, selling all of my follower enhancement items, shifting all of the boes to my guild bank alt (filling said guild bank with them in the process), and converting all of my resources into gold bags and fur. I tried queuing for the PvP Building's FFA fight a couple of times since I wanted to try and win it while gear mattered, but both times I encountered a group of people queuing together and working as a team so it was impossible to win as a solo person. I also stopped by the Brawler's Guild in hopes it would have enough people in it to spawn the portal and I could get that achievement, but it only had two people.

As a Hunter, I get to stand back and just shoot and not have to move much, even in PvP. Not sure if that will be a thing in the new class changes but it's not the worst.
Why was everyone opening Salvage boxes? @warcraftdevs said they weren't getting nerfed, and 7.0 adds new boxes. My heirloom ring mission finished 45 seconds ahead of the server restart, hooray.

The class changes seem pretty exciting imo, really looking forward to those...probably more then Legion at this point. Though artifact weapons might be fun.

It is not just artifacts though.
The removal of buffs was not match in any way whatsoever. Also, some passives were removed as well that were just straight up buffs. Finally lots of things classes had baseline as a whole were split into different talents.
It also does seem like the rebalancing of the skills erred on the side of weaker too. Since almost every class was completely rewritten.
Finally I think they just kind of cut power across the board (not just at 100) to make things more balanced overall. The power creep that had happened over time made everything before the current expansion an absolute joke. The fact they went and fixed that in the early levels shows that was a concern too. I think the overall reductions were to make the other levels work like this as well.
All of that is because of Artifacts. Because Artifacts are going to be so much of our damage output. Without artifacts it would be the equivalent of trying to raid without a weapon equipped or any talents selected.

well, at least you can stand in void zones as a hunter now
And it's probably vastly better than anything else you're going to find normally, since it's item level 895. Hell, free healing is still free healing, you'll be the best friend of your healers.

The Cataclysm Pre-patch also made a lot of classes weaker for the tail end of Wrath of the Lich King.

I apologize if this is in the wrong place, but anyone from the Beasts still around and playing? I know most had left a few years ago for other games, would be nice to have a reunion in Legion if any returned.

I'm not sure what will happen if it's currently equipped, but on beta, the blood knight tabard is a green quality item with a Class & Race restriction on the tooltip of Blood Elf & Paladin.
Yeah, she has it equipped. Guess I'll find out when I get home, along with which classes are fucked until Legion.

With the prepatch, I think I'll actually be playing the game less until the invasions start. The only two things I've been doing are sending people/boats out on garrison missions and doing old raids for mounts.

Some of those new skills are awesome right off the bat, some don't mean much overall until you have a good amount of points into the weapon.
So if you are talking max level of course, but everything I was talking about was older levels because we were referring to doing the content that is in game right now, the content we will still be stuck with for about another month.

4% every 3 seconds means full health in 75 seconds, which is way too long to be relevant in a boss fight. Also, if you're at all competent and your healers are even awake, you don't need healing during fights, you need more damage. DPS will never want to take a situational utility item over an item that increases your damage output, of which Hunters and Shamans have a number of good options.

That probably is pretty decent for elemental shaman who are pretty stationary anyway. 4% of hp every 3 seconds with the health pools as high as they are now is a pretty decent heal tick going off most of the time.

@Muddbudd I think you misread thē tooltip, th healing is every three seconds, not every second.
I also am not sure you are familiar with just how many damn legendaries there are in Legion for each class. The reason that legendary sucks is because here are just a few of the other ones you could get
Beast Mastery Your pet gains the passive abilities of all pet specializations and deals 10% increased damage.
Beast Mastery Dire Beast/ Dire Frenzy reduces the remaining cooldown on Kill Command by 3.0 sec.
Marksmanship Increases Bursting Shot's damage by 200% and range by 20 yards.
Marksmanship Each enemy you hit with Multi-Shot increases the damage of your next Aimed Shot by 10%, stacking up to 20 times
So, yeah. That legendary isn't something you'd just vendor or anything, it's still nice to get, but it is significantly worse than literally any other legendary you might conceivably get for your class. Legendaries are something that you can only equip one of, at least early in the expansion, and if that was your one Legendary while your guild's other hunter had something that was actually useful, you'd be pretty fucking annoyed.

To stress the point - these legendaries are rare. It's not like they rain from the sky. You are going to want to farm them, and when you get one, you are going to be happy. But if you get the self healing one, you are going to be significantly less happy than if you got literally any other legendary.
If you get a legendary drop in Legion and then you realise it was the self healing legs, you would feel a bit like that woman who thought she won a Toyota for winning employee of the month but it was actually a toy Yoda. It's still a present...but...hard to be as excited.
Also consider it is likely most who get that initially are going to be replacing whatever boots they have which probably are not A) nearly as high ilevel as those and have no effect at all. It likely is going to be at least initially a pretty big upgrade for anybody who gets it. Sure there maybe other legendaries people want more but it still is overall a solid noticeable benefit.
Working (Alliance) on Pet Battles last night and I got every major achievement for taming the masters but but now I am done in Pandaria I am at 39/40 and there is no more on the quest.
How the hell do you get the Safari Hat? Some people are saying I have to roll a Horde toon and defeat a pet master on that side? Is...is that true?
