Oh boooo. Trials is bannerfall this weekend?
Well, I actually have time tonight to play a bunch. Is anyone interested in making a few trials runs later? Probably after 8pm pacific, roughly when I'll get my kid to bed.
Hey, ain't that something, I got the 3 x 7 orb striker quest done fair and square. Got the Undying mind grimoire card too, rather randomly. Also, dropped about 880 strange coins on heavy synth and took two factions to 25.

This time with Booker and Mossnack. Definitely a hard fought victory. We went 8-0, lost on the ninth game, and had a very sweaty last match. Bannafall is definitely a tough map to succeed in, but it was excellent practice. Got a really good roll on a Glass Promontory, an Adept Inward Lamp that also looks pretty good, a 335 Pariah Chest for my Titan and a 335 Eternal Warrior (infusion fuel.
Some highlights from that and a previous run with Arteen, including blowing myself up with a rocket as last man standing (oops)
@caligynefob Have you tried the Lydumila-D? I have found some success using it to challenge snipers, using the 4rd burst to flinch It has a potential 2 burst kill from headshots, and a guaranteed three burst kill from bodyshots.
According to Tower Ghost app, I can almost achieve Tier 12 on my Titan, I just need a better artifact. Only issue is, the helmet with the best roll is the Desolate helm, which goes against all my fashion sense to mix and match.
I'm just a little cranky because I really want that Bastet emblem to finish off my collection, was really nice to finally get Abydos Common though.
I'm gonna practice with Weyloran some more before next week I think, that gun is cool, feels way better than 1K Stare and I got Doctrine for close and mid range.

I am glad you finally got one. Weylorans is my favourite sniper right now, I can double bodyshot so fast they don't know what to do.
Telesto and Chaperone were my weapons of choice this weekend. There was a moment where a guy was sitting in a corner and I could just put Telesto blasts on the floor and damage him. He had no choice but to sit in the fireworks until he died, haha.

I think I've tried everything. My problem is that people is so "good" at sniping at this point that they can zoom in at headlevel and then strafe across doorways and dome me before I can react.
Honestly, I have a harder time countering snipers on small maps than on large due to reduced 3D movement on those maps and that should be a clear sign, that snipers aren't used in the designated roles.

How do you get kills with Titan Void grenades in the Crucible? I think mine are stuck on some special "nonlethal" setting.
1. Use stickies.
2. Use an Armamentarium.
3. Pray.
A real tip though: don't forget that popping your bubble recharges your melee and (one of) your grenade. Chuck a nade, pop bubble, and drop one in the bubble if someone followed you in.
Yeah, that one is best done with Armamentarium + sticky grenades. I think I did it on control, but Mayhem is active at the moment so if you max disc, you should have a pretty speedy supply of grenades to chuck.

Also man this quest for the defender shotgun will take forever. Like no specials will drop for me now much less decode to a shotgun. I've gotten two side arms and a fusion rifle so far and I need ten shotguns...
Logged on the other night for the first time in months. Got 5 of the whatsits... platinum packages? from the maildroid. Wound up with a suit of Spektar stuff plus a pair of... Desolate? gloves. The Taken-ish ones. Also a bunch of various color chroma. All of the above is kinda meh.
Very nice to see that the new story missions actually have Nolandroid voice acting. Was afraid they'd be DLC-style silent Ghost deals.

I eventually gave up and bought them with Legendary Marks. I swear the game actively avoids dropping the items you need for the weapon quests.
Just go raise Dead Orbit faction 13 ranks or so, it rained shotguns for me this weekend, RAINED SHOTGUNS! I didn't keep a single one, what a disappointment.

Well actually reading the link; if we don't choose a Clan Captain, Bungie will just pick one for us. Not a huge deal. Depends on how much control @GMaster7 wants to give up .

Clans are now being stored and managed in a new system. One benefit of this has been the implementation of clan leaderboards.
For a clan to transfer, it must go through the migration process. One requirement of this process is for a clan to have a captain, whether it be the Group Founder, and Admin, or an appointed member.
If a Group Founder or one Admin was a member of the clan, they were automatically selected as the clan captain.
If not, a member must be manually appointed the clan captain by the Group Founder. This can be done by visiting the clan roster and clicking 'Set as captain' on a trusted clan member.
Once this is done, a clan will be automatically migrated. Please note, there will be a slight delay after a clan captain has been selected.
If a clan captain is not appointed by May 24th, 2016, the member who has most recently played Destiny will automatically become the clan captain.

Magnetic grenade is probably the easiest since it's just a sticky grenade so easy to wrap your head around, plus sticky grenades seem have that little bit of homing to them.
Suppression grenades are actually pretty capable killers, however their lethal radius seems quite small. I assume this is to make up for the fact that the suppression radius is a continental shelf. Best way to use them is to plink at a dude, force him into cover and then lob one in after him (they can be bounced off walls and corners so use this to your advantage).
Spike grenades are a bankrupt man's lightning grenades. Either don't use them or use them similar to how you would use lightning grenades and prepare to be underwhelmed with the results. You can use them in your bubble without hurting yourself though, so if you pop bubble in a high traffic area a spike grenade might get you a kill so that's worth a try.
