I dont mind joining other groups, I was ready to join Jays Pick Up Group yesterday if they needed me, but he had found a 5th and a 6th by the time I turned on my brobox so there was no need.

Ya know, checking that I'm actually shocked they rolled back the announcement of IB that was there earlier. Now the splash page just leads to last weeks update which says IB is going on.
Looks like a "no" to a late start on Iron Banner this week.
But a "maybe" to Trials? Hopefully? Trials will probably the patch's guinea pig.

Y1 Raids: Adopt the Drop
So last night my normal raid group decided to try something a little bit different. We had talked about doing the old raids again, but wanted to spice things up some. We used a method we have dubbed "Adopt the Drop". The rules are as follows:
Choose subclasses, only one of each in the fireteam (bonus points if you use RNG to decide who is what)
Equip highest light to start
Lock in your choices, get your perks all set since once you fly down there is no switching perks, weapons, or armor (except as detailed in the next rule)
Adopt the Drop, if you get a drop in the raid you must immediately equip it and use it for the rest of the raid. If you later get another drop of the same slot you must choose then if you stick with the earlier drop or change to the one you just got, but you cannot switch back and forth from them
Lowest Light Wins, at the end of the raid (or raids, if you run them back to back as we did) the player with the lowest light wins
Screw around and have fun!
Last night when we ran it this way I managed to hit light of 211 after VoG and CE, and the winner was at 208. TL;DR Play the Y1 raids and immediately equip what you get. Lowest light at the end wins.

AFAIK the limit is 120 and we're still well below that even with the pending folks. At a guess the three folks who can approve people are all inactive, those were the guys I @'d above. The group is fairly dead but I strongly suspect if people started putting up games there are others who would join in.
The Xbox group hasn't seen much action lately, because by now most of the grizzled vets have fallen into regularly scheduled raid groups (NATBurn, 4th Meal, Motorboat Kitten, etc.). However, whenever someone does post something, it usually fills up pretty quickly. Don't let the lack of activity fool you-- if you post it, they will come.
Actually I feel like half the stuff that gets posted on the Xbox 100 fizzles out and dies, I joined a Raid last week and only 4 people showed so no Raid happened
It's pretty disappointing actually, the100 and the PA clan feel almost useless to me because like you said everyone sticks with their comfortable groups
I was a little confused by that. Are DestinyLFG.net and the general 100 thing just that dead you couldn't grab two folks? Having 4 people be PA would remove like 90% of the issues with PUGing a raid.
There's also a static Friday night raid around 8pm so you're competing against that if you post for that night. There's nothing on Saturday, one Sunday morning, one Tuesday night, one Thursday night.
Is there a chance for me to get in on the Friday raid...please?

His pets are always getting eaten by sharks and Oxygen is so freaking expensive. Most importantly, its always too late for him to raid with NATBurn. I know because I've offered a spot to him so many times!
Someone open up a spot for this man to help him get a HM KF completion!

Zhalo and Arc Burn just ripped everything a secondary exhaust pipe, my new Arc LDR wasnt too shabby either.
I ran a couple with pubbies and we completed Taniks in less than 4 minutes.
