iPhone glitch

I recently got a 6s and I just started noticing last week that I'm missing texts. Don't know if it only applies to group texts, but that's where I notice it-- conversation started with a friend saying "yes" because it actually started with someone asking if we should go see Cap 3, and I just never saw that text. Other group texts are having this same problem, sometimes in the middle of a conversation instead, so it looks like someone is talking to themselves.

Anyone else aware of this problem? Any ideas how I can fix this? It's getting confusing very quickly

If you're texting between iphone and non iphone users, group texts will do that.

MMS just kind of breaks if you leave cell coverage during a group message.

not an iPhone user, but my experience is that group texts suck, and often do this if you have intermittent service.

This is one of the few reasons I have facebook messenger, honestly.

Yeah MMS doesn't have the guarantee that SMS does for delivery, so ultimately it breaks down when someone drops out of service. Facebook messenger is the better choice if everyone is using different cell phone OS's.

Luck. You may not have "received" a message while you were out of the service area.

Alternatively: You may have had a different service provider that had a better implementation for the delivery method of MMS. Hell they may have even just changed the method they used if you didn't.

The operating system is the operating system, iOS will function the same regardless of the device (in theory), assuming both are running the same version.

I had the exact same thing happen to me last week.

I was part of a group message, and suddenly not only did I miss several messages, but the message history for the group message chain was gone, as well.

Powering down, leaving off for a couple minutes, and powering back up resolved the issue.
