Oh oh! Is it Green Lantern? It's Green Lantern, right? GREEN LANTERN!
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
JLofA #2 was a better issue than the second. Orlando is pushing the Marvel analogue stuff with Lord Havok pretty hard to the degree that it is now essentially the Justice League of America trying to lead a civilian coup against Dr. Doom which is pretty cool
I had a dream about Batman, which is not uncommon, but this one had a surprisingly coherent plot, and I think I may have foretold Lego Batman 2!
There is a charity auction, and Bruce has brought Alfred has asked Bruce to bring him along, because he is interested in some of the auction items. Clark Kent is there reporting, and he has brought his mom. Clark & Ma Kent mention that Pa Kent would have enjoyed this kind of fancy dinner, if he hadn't died making an extremely ambiguous and poorly considered moral statement when Clark was a kid.
The Joker and Lex Luthor arrive, both planning to steal the same auction item. It is a statue that Lex wants because it's made of some rare mineral with unusual properties. Joker wants it because the statue has a funny face. Bats and Supes suit up to thwart them, but mostly wind up getting in each other's way, while Joker and Luthor quickly team up.
Meanwhile, with their kids too busy to chaperone them, Alfred and Ma Kent meet, and it turns out Alfred is smooth as hell, getting his flirt on like you wouldn't believe. Ma Kent invites him over for dinner. When Clark gets back from failing to prevent the theft of the statue, Ma Kent decides not to tell him about it, because she's not sure how he'd react to her dating. On the other hand, Alfred has to ask for the night off, so Bruce finds out what's going on immediately, and invites himself along like a huge jackass.
When Bruce and Alfred arrive at the Kent farmhouse, Bruce is all like "Nah, nope, can't eat in this Little House on the Prairie", and immediately begins remodeling (in the dream, this as a lot weirder, because it didn't occur to me that this should be a Lego Batman story until I woke up). Clark drops in for an unexpected visit, and mesmerized by the changes in the home, wanders around looking at things, until he finds a towel in the guest bathroom monogrammed BW. "BW?", he asks, "like.. Bat... Woman?!" Bruce pops up to go "That's ridiculous, no such thing", but out the window behind them you can see some monsters about to attack a little kid, and then Kate Kane swings in, beats the crap out of them, and swings back out.
Act 2 is a sort of Reverse Parent Trap story where Bruce and Clark are conspiring to prevent their folks from hooking up, but they're so terrible at working together that they keep speeding the romance up. Meanwhile, Lex and Joker are having a great time partnering up, working together very efficiently, both with the goal of bolstering one another's villainy until their respective heroes can't keep ignoring them to squabble with each other. In particular, Lex wants to reclaim the Top Villain spot from Zod.
Act 3 is Lex and Joker trying to screw up Alfred and Ma Kent's wedding, completely unaware that that's exactly what Bats and Supes want. In the end, Alfred and Ma Kent agree to be "just friends", at least as far as their kids can see publicly.
Realizing lately that I don't really trust or respect basically any of the moderators here. So, good luck with life, friends! Hit me up on Twitter @DesertLeviathan
Anyway, it was funny in my head, but I'm on the good pain meds right now, so everything is kind of funny

Has anyone read Superwoman #8 yet? It's supposed to be a tie-in to Superman Reborn but what I've seen so far of it is mighty confusing.
It's been getting more confusing and somewhat unreadable to me as the issues come out and it's because there's a mess of word bubbles and art all over the place. So far #8 has been better about it because of the new artist. Have you been reading from the beginning?

Lana and Lois got Superman's powers. Lana got lightning powers/flight and I believe Lois got super strength/flight. They went up against Lena Luthor who had a huge grudge against Lex and her plan was to take over Metropolis. Lex was taken off the table pretty quickly. Lois Lane dies. While Lana has problems with her power set because it's killing her each time she goes all out. Lana also has hallucinations of a bunch of dead people, most notably Lois.
The end of the first arc is Lana vs Lena and Lana has to go all out against her to win so she goes into a coma because of her body being unable to handle it.
This ties into Superman because John Henry seeks preNew52 Superman's help and Superman has a cool idea of when he almost died too. So he puts her in a Kryptonian battle suit in the Fortress of Solitude and voila! her condition stabilizes, but still in a coma.
This months issue she's still in a coma and having a discussion with Lois and New52 Superman and it's been hinted at that maybe she hasn't been hallucinating, but that she's been communicating with the real deal. So by the end of the issue she gives her "red energy" over to Lois and new52 Superman to help them out? And reality altering that happened in Action Comics might be affecting her already?? Not sure yet
Green Arrow confirmed. Also confirmed, GL is no longer voiced by Adam Baldwin which is GREAT
Oh hey this trailer also seemingly confirms Captain Cold as he's in a group shot of the Society of Super Villains behind Grodd and the rest are announced playable characters
Also, re: Green Arrow, in the IJ comics IJverse Black Canary is hooked up with an alternate Universe Green Arrow whose Canary died so they can be happy together in his universe.
I imagine with Canary back in the mix, she brought that Ollie with her.

They haven't showed much of Gal Gadot speaking. And her delivery of the "I am Diana of Themyscira" wasn't great. I'm afraid Zack Snyder may have encumbered Patty Jenkins with a lead who can't act.
Steve Trevor on the other hand, was good. So was Etta Candy.
We need to make sure Geoff Johns doesn't read this.
If he wants to apply that to the movies, I'm down.

Anybody read Death of Hawkman?
I picked it up because I love Hawkman and Adam Strange and had my hopes up, but I really didn't go anywhere. Desert was made too strong to realistically defeat. We all knew what would happen at the end, because of the frikkin' title, and at that, his death made no sense. He didn't accomplish anything useful by dying.
In Crisis on Infinite Earths, both Supergirl's and Flash's deaths were handled well and respectfully, and even if they didn't stop the bad guy, they did accomplish something in dying. It felt that what happened to them had weight. This did not.
The Kamandi Challenge though? Now that is fun.
And Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love was great also. It wasn't a world shattering story. I think that's what made it better. I'm so tired of giant, multiverse-ending threats that ultimately aren't that interesting. Sometimes, a small, intimate story of someone making a difference in the lives of others is a better superhero story than moving a planet out of the way of Galactus.

Except that a story about superheroes moving a pla net out of the way of Galactus would be more interesting than Death of Hawkman.
Collider reports Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman, Kick-Ass) is in talks to direct Man of Steel 2
Matthew Vaughn's comments on Superman (in 2010) and dark superhero movies (in 2015): I think that’s the one thing not to do with Superman, trying to do the serious ‘The Dark Knight’ version, Superman is about color and fun, or it should be, for me.”
“People want fun and escapism at the moment. Look at the success of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ I think Nolan kick-started a very dark, bleak style of superhero escapism, and I think people have had enough of it.”

I'd buy that for a dollar.
Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
Yes, its a major plot point in the first game
I assume its a different person
The proper treatment for a Lobo movie is if they film it and dump all the reels directly in the trash

I guess they could get George Miller to do an R rated Jonah Hex film.

Firestorm confirmed for IJ2, which all but seals up that leaked roster being 100% on the money
