Teen Wolf and Vampire Diaries are two shows I hear get really good, but I just don't know that I want to wade through the bullshit to get to the good stuff.

Teen Wolf gets good by like, the second season. It starts a lot stronger than it ends up.
It suffers from a lot of the bloat you typically see with these sort of shows. Casts get bigger, threats get bigger, more people know about what's going on, and that sort of thing cuts into the core "Look at these idiots try to go to high school AND play lacrosse AND defeat supernatural threats all at the same time." Like, at this point it feels more like a bizarre version of the X-Men, where everyone has the secondary mutation of turning into a wolfman.
Which is a shame. The school stuff was traditionally a lot of fun. The lacrosse coach was one of the best characters in the show, as was their old goalie. One time James Urbaniak was their substitute teacher!
But I recommend watching the first couple of seasons, for sure. The first season is dumb, but in a fun, goofy sort of way. The second season I think is actually a pretty solid season of television, overall. And if you're into shirtless men, this show has classically been very good at delivering.

I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I'm kind of looking forward to the season premiere of Z-Nation next week.
Meanwhile I have the last two episodes of Fear the Walking Dead on the DVR and I just can't seem to get motivated to start em up.

I watched season 1 of Supergirl recently, been meaning to give my thoughts on it.
Overall I liked it, Benoist really shined in the lead role, Harewood is also great as Alien Dad. The love triangle shape was suffocating as usual, there was still a bit of Secrets That Would Destroy Them and the finale had some dumb stuff (Alex insisting on going back to the city, Non tucking in his Kryptonian soldiers ahead of schedule) but it was still a charming series.
Donald Glover stayed in an LA hotel the night of the Atlanta premiere. Given the heightened attention, he wanted to take a less conspicuous entry to the joint. Hotel said, "That's fine, just let us know five minutes before you arrive." They wanted to get things ready, and that's the minimum amount of time to arrange security etc.
He was slated to arrive at 5. Usually, in these situations, people show up when the fuck ever. Donald called em at 4:55.
I don't know why, exactly, but this is EXTREMELY ENDEARING to me.

As someone who works in hotels and has had to deal with some shit like this it is incredibly endearing

Yakov Smirnoff was shuttled on the Buffalo by my old neighbors. And apparently he's a super nice guy.
After me not really feeling it for most of Mr. Robot's second season, the show just delivered two terrific back-to-back episodes and I am now fully back onboard.

The second season starts in less than four weeks if anyone was planning on catching up on the first season before starting the second.
Here's the Season 2 trailer (behind a spoiler since I don't know how gory the preview image may be):
WARNING: NSFW (Extremely Gory), and May Spoil Season One!

That's all I got.
Still really enjoying it.
uh
hmm
I like Candle Cove as a story
This is super super awkward and stilted though
I think that's by "virtue" of when it cut in
It's hard to do "casual introduction of a thing during conversation" in a teaser
Now why they'd choose that for their teaser, I couldn't tell you for the life of me. Marketing people are a mystery to me
