Including an Azmodan who refused to come to first shrine and claims he's "soaking" by splitpushing 2 lanes. They take a keep with 1st punisher, he can't even take both gates.
Also a ton of games with a 3-man stack of Illidan+Abathur+Healer that are basically impossible to beat without a specific comp and is why people queuing in groups is awful.
Grubby looks like he's already really good with Medivh. He's got an insane level of micro there.
Also that video highlights very well why this character will be so broken.
Broken only in the right hands from what I've heard. High level players will be able to utilize him so well for some crazy good plays (like Grubby), but lower level players are only going to gimp their teammates I feel.
Someone, and I can't remember who (maybe it was Grubby?), said he's only a tier 3 hero in their humble PTR opinion. That could change, though, when more skilled players and pros figure out where he fits into the high-level meta.
Yeah, the thing you notice there is on his own all he really does is not die. He doesn't kill anyone or anything. He's all fun tricks but little else. Which is good but highlights how he will both require skill and teamwork to really do his thing. And your team sacrifices healing/damage/pushing power/etc to get that.
medivh is gonna be hard because I want to learn to play him, but my usual "learn to play"is bots and QM, and I feel like Medivh's real shine is gonna be in HL and TL with audio chat for coordination
With that said at least I have you lot, so we can group up and vent

Yeah Medivh is super trolly. You can tell that a lot of the folks he's up against simply don't know enough to just ignore the negligible poke damage and not chase. I mean, if you're in games as Medivh and your opponents don't even know enough not to try to attack you, then yeah, they're probably gonna lose.
Ugh that seems really short for season 1. Especially if I place poorly (likely) and have to claw my way up out of the dregs.
I'm hoping to place Gold, but let's not kid ourselves. My 10 placements are gonna be full of AFK's, ragers, tilters, and Butcher4Lyfe mains whose idea of a good engage is 1v5.

Not really? 10 weeks is two and a half months. That seems fine to me? Plenty of time.

Also, had a nice game earlier with Lucas, trying out Lunar Jaina and the Lunar Dragon mount (they were on sale and the flesh is weak). The fight just before the game ended was... quite interesting.
So we just won the immortal and it's marching down bot lane to get to their core, and skirmishing starts. ETC slides in and moshes me and our Kharazim (and Lucas throws his hook at Morales after ETC started moshing when I told him hook was our only interrupt [:P]). Nothing really happens, until Jaina casts Ring of Frost that gets me in the last second of the stun. And... nothing happens. Then their Stitches Gorges me just as the root ends, and walks me into their team. I'm a bit concerned--they have Jaina and Chromie to blow me up right as I pop out. But I pop out... directly into a Time Trap. My team pushes them back within the three seconds because they positioned badly to ambush a stasis'd Jaina, and I pop out of the time trap and drop my cooldowns to finish off three of them, and then we win the game.
I didn't think it was possible to screw up chain CC that hard but they sure showed me.
The thing about Mosh is that it's as much of a head game as it is actually a useful move. Like, I could hold and hold and hold my hook, because it's literally the only way to break mosh. But if I never hook, he still wins because that's one less ability being used. So do I hold the hook, saving it for the random chance that he moshes? Or do I try to pull someone out of position and actually use my moves? In that specific game we played, I chose to use my hook. I hooked their Morales and ate her and their healer was out of the fight for a while.
So it was a trade. Sure, he got a mosh off. But they also had no healer.
I just don't think you should live in fear of the mosh. You can beat a mosh just with good positioning and not clumping. But to keep a cooldown on reserve at all times for a "just in case" seems like he has already won without even using the move. Can't let head games beat you.

I know. I'm just saying as a general rule. I think holding CD's is silly. Especially CD's that are the crux of an entire character's kit.
Stitches is pretty much not worth more than a body if he's not hookin'.
As someone who's played a lot of stitches with you guys, I very much disagree :P
The real reason I don't end up saving hook for interrupting mosh is because it's actually really hard to do because enemies tend to pile onto the mosh, making it hard to thread the needle and actually hit ETC himself. Especially when you're usually as aggressive with stitches as I am, whacking people and spreading that bile around. He does surprisingly good damage and has great area control through clever use of bile, the slows on his auto, and especially pulverize if you pick that up at 16 (no matter the build I was typically going mega smash/pulv at 13/16 because I think it's actually more impactful than the hook thanks to the lower CD). There were plenty of games where my hooks were awful and I was still contributing, and then I get like one good hook post-16 that seals it.
Yeah in our game earlier I did have an opportunity earlier on to interrupt the mosh. But the enemy team's Stitches was standing right on top of ETC. I tried to thread the needle and grab him, but Stitches was just too much of a fatty and I hit him, even though my targeting arrow showed the line going right between a couple targets.

You made better use of Gorge than I ever have, at least. I basically just do bile all the time because I can't figure out how to make gorge work properly.
(okay no, I had a streak of like 3 games where I was a god with gorge, but I've since lost the touch.)
No, the mount appears at Platinum tier. Meaning a person would have to earn their way into platinum to get the mount. I mean, I guess if a person already has like 3500 MMR or something they could probably just throw 10 games and still place in Platinum league? Maybe?
Blizzard did say that they're going to really loosen up a person's "uncertainty" attribute, which is basically a stat that Blizzard uses to determine if your actual skill matches your matchmaking skill. As a person plays more games and their MMR begins to look like their actual skill, their uncertainty decreases. Usually Uncertainty is a stat that helps them place new players who don't have a lot of games. But during a seasonal reset, they are relaxing everyone's uncertainty, which means you will be more fluid in your MMR gains (up and down) as the game tries to figure out where you belong.
So a person who starts season 1 with a really high MMR and the game thinks they initially belong in the Platinum league, that person could really bone their MMR rating during the relaxed uncertainty period.
That's pretty much what happened to me during the mid-season wipe and placements. I had earned my way up to rank 12 during beta and early launch. Then they did the wipe and my placement matches went terribly, terribly wrong, and because of their relaxed uncertainty during that first week of placements, I managed to drop from 12 to 48.
Reaaaaaaaally hoping that doesn't happen to me a second time. But I am mentally prepared for it to happen.

On the other hand, loosened uncertainty also helps the people stuck in "elo hell", like y'all who I know are at the very least like 2600 material but are still around 2k because that's where you initially placed and have been earning/losing 10 MMR per game for over a year.

As in, literally NO effort required outside of slamming out those placement matches.
The Epic mount got moved up to Master League though, boooo.

I landed on rank 6 with 15/20 placement matches won. I assume you'd need, like, at least 18/20 for it to place you at rank 1, if it's possible at all.

I had a free night and figured fuck, let's go.
Just won 7 in a fucking row and went from Rank 20 to Rank 10.
WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! EPIC MOUNT!
Good news is, I called off of work today and I'll be around for some Hots if / when the headache goes away.

Season 1 has 10 new placement matches. But they're seeding it this time with your current MMR. (With relaxed uncertainty).
