i read the cap was 50 speed wise, and the ring adds 30 dex so 20 dex is all you ever need on a caster if you're going to use that ring. but then the difference between 15 and 20 probably isn't going to be too much and points better spent in int. plsu the +1 version adds 35 and the plus +2 adds 40.
I'm playing my first souls-game, and I feel little cheap when I use even npc summonsto kill shit, last being dragonslayer armor.
Should I flog myself, or just be happy that other things than me are dead?
I have theories about why BlueCop/Darkmoon and Watchdog summons are so shit
for the former, I think there's just not enough people in Way of the Blue compared to the number of people in the bodyguard covenants. I feel like they need to give people a reason to equip the item, or have some way to make it a default behaviour unless you opt out or something.
As for Watchdogs vs. Aldritch Faithful - virtually everyone who enters Anor Londo for the first time does so embered because there's a boss right before the zone. To get to Road of Sacrifices you need to get past the Knight in the basement of the tower who will kill and de-ember a lot of players, and does not re-ember them when defeated, meaning the majority of players are not going to be embered when they arrive in the zone.
Also, you only trigger Watchdog Invasions when you walk into the water.
You can get to the Crystal Sage embered, without ever enabling a watchdog invasion.
There's no way around Aldritch faithful invasions, shy of dying and refusing to re-ember.
Hey that's pretty neat, since the lore of the area is that the swamp is where warriors of old are laid to rest and the Watchdogs of Farron protect their graves. So when you go into the water, you're literally disturbing the graves and the Watchdogs come in to punish that.

The latter, I think. The game doesn't play nice, and while it's perfectly possible to do insane stuff like beat the game with a Guitar Hero controller, these options are in the game for a reason.
So, about the entourage that shows up at Firelink after I beat the Capra Demon. Do they leave based on me just leaving Firelink again, or is it based on me raching another milestone (getting to the Depths or beating another boss, say)? Also, does me being Hollow or not actually effect something with them? One of the knights told me not to talk to their lady looking the way I do, and the lady mentioned how ragged I look.
And is them leaving going to deprive me of the ability to buy miracles from that one guy? I never had enough souls at once to buy anything from him, and I'm afraid of losing that when they leave and someone dies.

they left pretty much as soon as I left firelink, iirc
as for buying miracles, that will be gone for a short time only.
I thought the final boss, the Lord of Cinder, was pretty cool. I fought him as a Pyro, with a summoned SunBro and Yuria. I used dark pyromancy, it seemed fitting.
It was a cool fight.
The usurpation ending was cool. I wish my character didn't look like such a dope. I wore the pyromancer set.
The dragons in Lothric Castle are called Wyverns, as is the Dark Souls way to get around all of the dragons being dead (mostly), but the one in the High Wall is straight up called a dragon. Does anyone know what's up with that? Where did it come from?

Made it out of the painted world, didn't fight priscilla (because I walked to the plank to take a look and it just cut-scened me out)
Pretty sure she didn't have anything I wanted anyway
How early into DS1 can I find a forge and upgrade weapons? I ask because I've been finding some Titanite recently, during my forays into lower Undead Burg and the Depths.

Can't the magic blacksmith dude below firelink do basic titanite upgrades?
I found an elevator there into the ruins of New Londo, but I backed out almost immediately, as it felt like a far stronger area than I was dealing with over in lower Undead Burg.
thanks from soft for rubbing salt in the wound, really
farron/darkmoon doesn't work for me, but I'm getting invaded over and over and over by farrons on my new character, to the point I can't even ember up unless I want to have to deal with a constant stream of pvp

He's along he edge of the cliff between New Londo and the locked tower, more or less straight out fronwhere you exit the elevator stairs, down a flight of stairs that hugs the wall of the cliff

Hm. Alright.
I'm fairly deep into the Depths at the moment, but if whatever boss in here makes particularly humilating work of me, I'll trek back to Firelink to find this guy.

Hmmmm
I need to farm the dark wraiths again
Or win an invasion

Edit: Wait you've beaten DS3 already haven't you
Then what'd you think of that ending?

I did a lot of co-op and failed a lot of invasions.
Accidentally went into the painted world!
Fuck these fire throwing toxic bags!
And that fucker is getting very murdered.
Pretty sure she didn't have anything I wanted anyway
I'm quite mad about it.
King Dedede is still at it
Usually it involves misreading a jump attack as a jump back and getting smushed
Aw dangit. Is the forge across the drake's bridge?

I think you made a wrong turn, bub
That's messed up
