I never really expected the steam thread to be nsfw...but it definitely is getting there.
Yes, things are certainly getting steamy.
Steam Thread: After Dark
"That was Pixie, listeners, on the receiving end of Sakura Dungeon from none other than Shdwcaster. She's gone by many names and piled up many games, but somehow the thread just keeps on gifting. For those just joining us, this is your host Stolls von Stollington, and you are listening to Steam Thread: After Dark - the only radio program that can't legally broadcast during business hours. Now I hope that delivery of soft, round objects at the speed of a T1 line woke you back up, 'cause we are going to the phones. Caller! You are on the air. Tell us, why are you up so late?"
"Uh, hi Stolls, love the show. I'm calling about Sakura Dungeon! See, it's got the same engine from Demon Master Chris. Y'know, that game that was on that anime porn Humble Bundle?"
"You're gonna have to narrow that one down, friend."
"Right, nevermind. Anyway, I just wanted to say that game actually has some pretty good gameplay, you need to check it out sometime! I had to actually use both hands to beat it!"
"That's fantastic. Not your victory, but the way you phrased that. It is just perfect in every way. *click* Let's go to the next line! Caller, you are live with Steam Thread: After Dark! Pardon the double entendre, but what's keeping you up tonight?"
"Yeah, I've been playing that ninja tits game, and it's way harder than I thought it'd be."
"And speaking of low-hanging fruit..."
"I'm just trying to change this girl's clothes so she'll fight better, or whatever the hell you're supposed to do, but this game's actually challenging and stuff. I basically paid thirty bucks to get my ass kicked by a bunch of schoolgirls."
"Caller, you got off light. I know people who've paid thousands for that very thing."
"Really? Who?"
"My, uh, cousin... Sllots. Foreign exchange program got weird, long story. *click* That's all the time we have right now, so thanks for tuning in, listeners! Coming up we've got Iolo looking to offload some choice product, more birthday stalking, and I get the feeling destroyah87 is up to something as well, so stick around!"

Alright, a fellow forumgoer saw my previous post and we got our trade on. As far as I'm concerned the monthly bundle contained Saint's Row: The Third. 8-)
We're marooned on a small island, in an endless sea,
Confined to a tiny spit of sand, unable to escape,
But tonight, it's heavy stuff.

I just searched for Overwatch on Steam and couldn't figure out what it wasn't there. It's a major PC game, I thought. It should be here. And then I remembered it's a Blizzard game and I don't have any Blizzbux. Oh well, I don't need to add to the pile that is Mt. Backlog anyhow.
I'm just gonna come right out and say it: Sight unseen, just from the description blurb, Sakura Dungeon has already gotten my interest.
Of course I'm also the weirdo who exalts Monster Girl Quest as one of my all-time favorite games that I want all the porn stripped out of so it can reach a wider audience because it deserves to be better known.

I just found that in a deep dark corner of a flash drive while looking for things, and I realized I've never actually played more time in that game than it took to make sure it all worked.
And I'll be honest, and say that Sakura Dungeon is the first Sakura game to ever make it on to my wishlist.

I was looking at this one for quite a while and I most certainly will! Thank you so much for being the stuff of my nightmares when they might not necessarily jump out at me but I neglect to turn quick enough to see the C.H.U.D.

An rpg with challenging gameplay, deep replayability, and most of the cast/enemies being female?

A fantastic story mainly, though yeah I find the monster girls pretty neat too. It takes several generic tropes and turns them on their head while showing character development and growth for pretty much every single major character in all three parts. Luka, for example, starts out as someone who wants to gain the blessing of the Goddess to become a Hero so he can defeat the Monster Lord wreaking havoc on the world, thus bringing about true peace between monsters and humans. Sounds pretty basic yeah? Well up until you learn that he chose this path because his father is the leader of an anti-Monster organization who kill monsters, peaceful ones living in cities, and said father doesn't care about collateral damage. Oh but he's not following the path to strive to do the "right" thing as a noble hero though, he's trying to become a Hero so he can die in a vain attempt to atone for his parent's sins. He's a deathseeker under that youthful naivety and it explains a lot of his early foolhardy behavior.
And that's just one arc from one character! The game is chock full of them and combat exists to give me something to work at to earn that next bit of dialogue or lore.

That was mean.
I don't understand how it was mean. I am super excited for this and if anything I was being self depreciating in saying that my inability to turn quick enough is why it turns into jump scares.
I'm really happy for this unless it wasn't me that was being mean and a bird lied to me?
In the category of things that probably don't suck, there's Tyto Ecology, which seems the sort of thing that might appeal to an awful lot of folks here.
@Berylline I think this sounds like a game you would like? You like exploration games.

Thanks to @Stabbity Style and @CorriganX (and @Ed Gruberman for trying to join) for some fun Insurgency Coop. It definitely is an intriguing game that I'll charge into the thick of things and die...or get exploded by a rpg/grenade....or taken out by a sniper.

Thank you @DyasAlure for BloodRayne! The link worked just fine.
I tried to play BloodRayne years ago, but it didn't seem to get along with my PC at the time. Looking forward to playing more than the tutorial level this time around. Thanks!
I think that the internet has been for years on the path to creating what is essentially an electronic Necronomicon: A collection of blasphemous unrealities so perverse that to even glimpse at its contents, if but for a moment, is to irrevocably forfeit a portion of your sanity.

I'm glad. I was worried when it said that it was claimed by my e-mail, but I got it to work after that.
On indiegala, Does anyone know if I can redeem it myself and get a key to post in steamgifts? Steamgifts let me put a humble bundle link in, but not Indiegala.

For what it's worth, the Costume Quest 2 link you sent me from indiegala was a steam key after clicking the redeem button thing. Dunno if it's only like that for gifts or certain games, tho.

It was from the same bundle, so if I were to enter it myself, I would have a key in my inbox to give out?

Yes, when you redeem your keys in Indiegala you can send them via Steamgift's Send Keys feature. I did that last weekend for a few giveaways and (apart from the bit where I pasted the wrong key into Steamgifts) it worked very smoothly.

I found that when I was trying to look up the guild site of an all-Elin Tera guild called "Touch Fluffy Tail".
Never did manage to apply to the guild but the game was generally neat, with moments of "I'm aware that what I'm looking at is SOMEONE'S fetish, but I hope never to meet them" interspersed.
!!! Holy crap, @Karoz just sent me DOOM! Thanks, man! I've really been wanting to play it! It looks sooooo good! Can't wait to run and gun and rip and tear and be a badass space marine doom slayer! Thanks again! Holy crap!
And @ReverseCreations just hit me up with Hyper Light Drifter! I've also had my eye on basically since it was announced on Kickstarter! Thank you so much! It looks incredible! I can't wait to play it! Thanks again!

No way is this getting bottomed
Steam Support is the worst. Seriously, the worst
Confined to a tiny spit of sand, unable to escape,
But tonight, it's heavy stuff.
I'm going to go out on a huge limb here and assume it's much shittier.
More, please.
From the bottom.
Phrasing.

Wait, @f3rret are you saying that @Pixelated Pixie doesn't have your birthday?
Yeah. Some I can only narrow down to small windows... like, say, oh I dunno.... F3rret's is sometime between June 20th and June 30th.
For people like that that, I just put them in the spreadsheet as "celebrates birthday for 10 days straight."
