I'll never forget the time @Robert Khoo got me and some other folks some sausages in San Francisco. It doesn't seem like it was nearly six years ago.
And thanks for bringing back Club PA in its modern form.
Also, from what I understand, First Party was pretty much your jam. I own a few of the polos and the light jacket and people ask me about them all the time. ("Hey, that's a nice jacket... are those video game controllers?")
I think that's actually just a long-running joke between him and Straub.

Robert thanks for buying us all BBQ in Austin that one time and for being super nice in our brief encounters at so many pax photos. Good luck with whatever's next!
I totally remember that PAX South focus group at Rudy's. I like to think it's what lead to the event being in January.
I never really got interact with him at PAX itself and if he's reading this, so long and thanks for all the fish.
It seems like it should be harder to imagine PA without Robert. For the longest time, I've thought of him as at least as important as Mike or Jerry, the secret Heals backing up their Tank and DPS, or something like that. But now that I think about it, PA without Robert is pretty easy to envision - he's guided Mike & Jerry through enough dangers that they can probably navigate successfully without him, and hired a whole lot of extremely competent people to back them up. I'll miss seeing him run around PAX and listening to him on the Staff Podcast, but I'll be extremely interested in seeing what he does next.

@Robert Khoo I don't think I can put into words how important this community has been for my long term mental health and my growth as a person, not to mention how much my life has been improved by Penny Arcade, Child's Play, PAX, and so many of the projects you've had a hand in for the past several years. None of that would've been possible without you.
Thank you doesn't seem like enough, but it's all I've got.
Thank you, Robert. If you end up attending West or another PAX in the future, I owe you a drink. Maybe several.

haha oh yeah that was in the middle of summer wasn't it? I remember it being super hot outside and Robert was literally dying.

Yeah and Rudy's was so busy we had to sit in their covered outdoor section for most of it. I believe he called me a liar for telling him how much I walk in that heat.
Khoo took me and a few forumers out for one of the best dinners I have ever had after a night at SDCC, and I will never forget how insanely classy and generous he was
Wow. I was lucky to be part of a random forumer dinner in Baltimore with Khoo when he was scouting locations for the first PAX East. He is a literal hero of mine, and I'll miss him being a part of PA. He's certainly earned the chance to try something new. I wish him nothing but the best.
Sad to hear Robert is moving on, but hopeful that he'll find something else to turn into amazing.
On the other hand, worried about not having a replacement... I've been in a small company with a TON of talent, and at some point we simply had to hire a manager. He had no clue what we did, how we did it, etc. He was simply a "manager", and boy did we need it. Very worried that PA will have to endure a lot of internal stress without someone who's job description includes managing *everyone plus the business*, because someone's gotta be the bad guy or adult supervision sometimes. Don't gamble with the careers and lives of the PA employees and company, start looking for a replacement business manager with the PA spirit NOW, because that guy is going to be really hard to find.
Hi, everyone! My inbox is currently melting its face off, but I wanted to pop in and just say thank you for all the kind words, and of course for just being the most amazing community to be a part of.
Although I often get credit for keeping the forums alive, Tube, the admins of yore, and the team of amazing mods did all of the planning... execution... uh... I guess they did everything. I just sort of paid for it and waved my hands around. Anyway, I wanted to say thank you for the last 14 years. It's been amazing, and I'm sure I'll catch many of you around. You're the best, and we couldn't have done all the things we did without you.

To do otherwise would be un-Khoo.
Whatever's next in the Khooniverse, I look forward to it.
May I suggest building Abby Howard into the next webcomic megalith.
Likely will be a mix of people for a while, Ryan Hartman will also likely be involved as he has a wealth of PAX knowledge.
Strangely, that picture is no longer there.

If he wants to turn my worthless waste of a life into a multi-million dollar business, I'd be cool with that.
Good luck to you, Mr. Khoo. We'll miss you.
I'm sad now.

And good luck.
I've been here too long in my own wierd way to say anything else.
I've never met a poster or been to a PAX.
I have no idea who Khoo is, or what he does.
Good luck to him though, and thank you for keeping this place around.
I will miss seeing you at PAX.
