Overwatch is a team-based multiplayer shooter with objective based modes which pits two teams of 6 players against each other. The game is designed around several classes where each character has unique abilities, with a cartoon art style similar to that found in Team Fortress 2 or in Pixar Animation movies.

Backstory -

Welcome to Overwatch™ Soldiers. Scientists. Adventurers. Oddities. In a time of global crisis, an international task force of heroes banded together to restore peace to a war-torn world: OVERWATCH.

It ended the crisis and helped to maintain peace in the decades that followed, inspiring an era of exploration, innovation, and discovery. But after many years, Overwatch's influence waned, and it was eventually disbanded. Overwatch is gone… but the world still needs heroes.

Current Heroes -
xpxdb7i3tnuu.gif
Overwatch features a wide array of unique heroes, ranging from a time-jumping adventurer, to an armored, rocket-hammer-wielding warrior, to a transcendent robot monk. Every hero plays differently, and mastering their abilities is the key to unlocking their potential. No two heroes are the same. Whether you're engaging in combat on the front line, providing defensive cover with your energy shield, or supporting your allies by amplifying their damage, every hero's abilities are designed to be effective as part of a team. Learning to utilize your abilities in concert with your teammates' is the key to victory.

Yeah Genji can be hard to hit if he's jumping around like a loon but that's why people like McCree exist.

I like the Widow changes, but I'd still like to see her rate of fire or charge rate get changed because she doesn't really feel like a sniper with how fast she can fire bullets out. This change solves the issue of Zenyatta being completely useless if there's a Widowmaker anywhere within 10 miles, but not the problem of her just chaining shots together before you can react.

I personally feel that Reinhardt's shield needs to be toned down - when you compare it to all the other Tanks' defensive abilities it's like night and day, he's the only character with the ability to utterly shut down incoming damage for so long. Whether he's overpowered or not, it's not a lot of fun to play against. I'd rather they nerf the shield to roughly the level of the other tanks and buff his combat capabilities somehow to compensate.

Shield doesn't feel so bad once everyone starts realizing that breaking it is a team effort and everyone needs to be putting damage on it whenever they aren't actively doing something else.

The shield feels super strong if you're the only one who ever shoots at it and you don't even get close to breaking it, but once a bunch of your team focus on it then it just melts.

When hes being played near his skill ceiling, good luck. Thats all Im going to say.

I've seen a lot of characters played well... but I've played against a few Genji's that were pretty much unstoppable. There was one in particular I was having a hard time playing against because simply watching him move around the map was awe inspiring.

Yeah I'll see this a lot. It's one reason why I cringe when I see Junkrat on the enemy team when pubbing as reinhardt - not really because he's uniquely damaging to my shields, but because he's way more likely to just constantly put damage into it. If even 2 people are firing regularly into it I really can't keep the shield up for long.

genji? What's the problem with him? I don't feel he needs nerfs.

When hes being played near his skill ceiling, good luck. Thats all Im going to say.

I've seen a lot of characters played well... but I've played against a few Genji's that were pretty much unstoppable. There was one in particular I was having a hard time playing against because simply watching him move around the map was awe inspiring.

Sometimes I have to stop shooting Genji for 3 seconds and then I get to shoot him again and he dies.

On a related note, any hero played "near their skill ceiling" is going to absolutely thrash the overwhelming majority of people playing this game. Not a great metric.

Well, Genji is a bit different. As you get better with Genji, not only does your damage output increase like other classes, but your defense does too. Then as a result, you are getting more kills, which resets your dash, which lets you get more kills (which also makes you much harder to kill). Combine this with the best offensive ult in the game, and you have a class that scales higher than everyone but Widowmaker.

Ive been trashed before, but this was different.

Like, your advice about shooting him is completely worthless because youd never see him coming. We had a McCree who constantly got his flashbang reflected, and watching him not only consistently 1 shot our Widow with reflection (sometimes mid-air) but 5 or 6 team kills... dude had 60 eliminations.

Genji is straight bullshit once youre high enough.

Genji is great but it can be hard to get much out of his ult if the enemies are doing a good job of watching each other's backs.

Hail to the nerfs! They had it comin!

    Next nerf should be Genji.

My biggest issues these days are Reinhardt and Hanzo. Rein is just so insanely good. If you don't have the firepower to focus him and he starts swinging he simply clears the room.

Simply not true. If he starts swinging, he had to get to you and he has his shield down. Ideally he's dead before he even gets there, but the whole team just turns around once and kills him instantly

He's also so slow that he's fairly easy to kite. If he pulls his shield down and decides to wade in, he's effectively given up providing a screen for his squishy team members, too, and more so if I throw a mine at him to throw him even further from his team+healer.

Plus Rein is so slow that it's pretty common to finish him off or deal a huge chunk of damage to him simply by dying in his melee range as Junkrat.

Reinhardt is much harder to play effectively than most people seem to think.

I'm also against Genji nerfs. He's at his best when his opposition is doing silly things like splitting up while he's not using Dragonsword, and grouping up when he is.

The McCree and Widowmaker nerfs have had the interesting effect of making borderline heroes like Pharah seem much, much better. Now that you can't just tag her without really aiming, she seems a lot better.

Yeah I play Reinhardt a lot and I swing only when I feel desperate or totally in control. My job is to give the medium/long range clear shooting avenues, and I only drop that if someone tries to get really close. His damage is high but much of it is a trap, the swing animation is slow, and there's a wind up to getting your shield back up. Same with the charge. A charging Rein is a dying Rein against a good team.

Now in pub games he is still very good because his entry skill is pretty low and to break him requires teamwork. Combined with Bastion or Tjorborn unfocused teams sometimes just can't deal.

I just got out of a game where I only got 8 eliminations in 5 minutes... but 21k damage blocked, with the Toblerone Turret I was guarding getting 26 Eliminations.

One of my favourite feelings in this game is slowly advancing toward the enemy team as Reinhardt while my team is right behind, firing at them. We're coming, motherfuckers, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Except on KoTH and Assault maps where you're forced to contest a point. His damage is substantial, and hits in an arc and range that are deceptively large. In a team situation where he's receiving support on a point, I find he is continuously the deciding factor in the team fight. Far beyond his shielding capability.

I like playing zenyatta again. A lot of people got really good at killing him fast but he's just survivable enough now that as long as you keep your debuffs up and stay out of the way, you can really do some damage. I hadn't really played him much since open beta, but I'll probably cycle him back in again.

Genji has become one of my biggest frustrations, simply because when he's played well it's exceptionally hard to land a shot on him. I was playing against one on Dorado the other evening and it felt like his reflect had no goddamn cooldown - but no, it's because he's double-jumping and dashing so often that by the time I'm ready to fire on him again his cooldown has cleared. Grrrr.

A well played Genji seems like a "you need Winston" situation. Unless you're really good at aiming, anyway.

Mei and Zarya also smash Genji. Mostly Mei. Can't reflect her and can't run around like a loon when you're slowed.

    The mcree nerf is wonderful.

Instead of fearing every mcree, I now fear the select few that stuck with him.... Those are the crafty ones.....

I'm talking about a good Genji, not an average Genji. A good Genji will wreck Symmetra. He can either put out enough damage to kill Symmetra before her damage can ramp up or just stay out her her range, which isn't difficult with his mobility.
