We got a kitten this weekend! We named her Korra. After the avatar. Because yup.
She was a little skittish at first. Crappy traffic didn't help that.
We have a rottie mix at home and we were hoping they'd get along well. So far so good!
She's making herself at home rather quickly which is nice
I took her to the vet today to get her shots and she sat on my shoulder the whole time and the vet did her shots with her propped next to my beard, purring away.
She's pretty cool, guys.

one of my kittens used to spend most of her time on my shoulder when she was actually still technically a kitten near a decade ago now. i miss it so much, you have to cherish it

One of my kitties did that...I got two kittens on the same day from different adoption centers...I got the first, brought her home, opened the box in the room with the litter box, she was very skittish, meowed a few times, a little scared, then hid behind two boxes. I left her alone for a bit while i went to get the second one, took her into the same room, opened the box, she hops out, starts inspecting the new digs immediately, sticks her head inbetween the two boxes the first kitty was hiding in, sniffs noses, then continues to look around like she owned the place. Later she decided it was acceptable, came to sniff around me...starts playing with me, and first kitten comes out of the boxes since she saw the attention being given and wanted some herself.
