The guy's coming from a privileged perspective falsely equating all kinds of "choice" with each other, ignoring the fact that negotiations only are fair for both parties when both parties have equal leverage. Etc, etc, I'm sure they're making a good point but it reads a bit ham-handed still.
I 'unno, let's see how the scene actually shakes out. SFP is kind of a roller-coaster for me in terms of writing quality.
