I'm actually having a ton 'o fun with my sin. I usually get bored with a character pretty quickly because once you get your primary attack all that left is just clickclickclickclickclickclickclick. This sin is fun because you're constantly changing attacks and stuff. Keeps my mind busy.

Since I fear SE++, I'll post here: I'm a bit of a noob (had the demo for D2 some time ago, about it), I was wondering if javelins can be restocked? I have, like, three sets of javelins right now that are pretty good, and I'm not sure if I can keep one set and be sure to not spend them all, or if they, and all throwing weapons, are irreplaceable once used.

I had a druid back in the day (way before the synergy talents patch), that was specced into werewolf form.

I seem to remember that he was some kind of soloing god. Got him up to about level 70, fucking shit up lycanthrope styling. I tried to make him again last month, but he kept dying in the first act .

Either werewolf spec has been nerfed to oblivion or I'm just a really crap player nowadays (having not played D2 in a long long time). I suspect the latter. Any hints about how I can get my werewolf on again?

I need to decide whether to install the games now, or finish my PC upgrade and then install. Given how many hours Titan Quest sucked out of my life, something tells me I should upgrade first... otherwise it'll never get done!

Any hints for a D2 newbie? Any particular class or skills that are good? I've got the strat guide, and it covers the basics, plus I'm very familiar with basically every CRPG game after D2. Just looking for specific tips.

Oh, and please suggest mods, inventory managers, character editors, or whatever else is handy for single-player.

Necromancer is my favorite, usually easy to pick up. Focus more on increasing skel mastery than number of skells. Even more enjoyable with mods.

Slightly offtopic, but there occurs to be a problem with the first Diablo that we can't solve without help (I'll copy this from the thread we made in H&A):

Can anyone explain me how to exactly play Diablo 1 over the battlenet with 2 players behind one router and me being behind another router? We can all connect to Battlenet, but when I host the game, the first player can connect, the moment the other one connects, the first one gets kicked because of "lag". If one of them hosts the game, the host can see both players, but the other two can't see each other.
Anyone can help?

Seconding this, I used to play Werewolf spec all the time when D2 was my heroin. Is a caster druid decent or is it still better to use your Were-shapes instead?

You, uh, can't. Diablo 1 was just not made with that in mind, as far as I can tell. It doesn't do NAT, period. I think Blizzard's website even says your screwed.

Check with your ISP to make sure you don't have multiple IP addresses assigned to you. One of the ISP's in my town is fucking insane and gives people like 8 ip's for a single cable modem.

EDIT: Or just replace one router with a hub and see if that gives each of you a different IP.

I don't really know anything about werewolves (I did play a werebear right after the synergies started and he was a lot of fun). All I can do is strongly suggest taking advantage of the synergies. They've basically ramped up the difficulties so that it's nearly impossible to solo with the old pre-synergy builds. Check out the druid forum and strategy compendium over at Diabloii.net. Some of the stuff may be a little outdated, but it'll give you a good starting point, at least.

Out of sheer luck (good or bad, not sure yet), I found my Diablo 2 disks.

Anyone up for some D2: LoD? I'm gonna create a room in about an hour after I'v installed everything and downloaded the patches, I just need to know a couple of things.

What server should we use? (to simplify things, lets use USEast for now)

I would of suggested starting a hardcore game, but I know a not a lot of people are into that and I can't play HC yet anyway. If we can get 8 players in the game, each with a brand new character, one of each class that would be awesome. So, hope you guys are interested.


EDIT: I would love to play Hardcore, but unless someone has a program that will let me play HC right off the bat after an install it looks like I can't, which is a shame
