I do that when I cant hold a gym a long time due to people with no jobs who are obvious losers that beat me all the time not because I am bad but because they are loser buttheads
But you have to join a gym that's already your color? Or take it over (ie defeat the leader and put your own guy in there?) because I did that, and I got nothing
how do you collect this stuff
Bash gym and turn it gray. Place mon. Cash out at store with cash out button. Repeat every 21hrs. Try more gyms when git gud

(my rating would be 999 > VLR > ZTD, with VLR barely above ZTD since I think ZTD was kinda screwed by being the last game in the series so it had a lot of obligations that were hard to fulfill, and 999 is the best because it was a freshest + while the sub ending was horrible they pulled that shit in the sequels too)

when it levels up the gym gains an extra space
you can put a pokemon in it

I somehow got VLR and 999 backwards? I'd rate it VLR ~= ZTD > 999. Maybe 999 is better plotwise but the severe lack of QoL features makes me remember it less fondly.
I'll probably settle on VLR being the best in the series but ZTD is fresh and I still like how tightly they wove it+how well they were able to escalate the series after VLR.
